  • AWESOME MOVIE...but the poster was always kinda strange...the faces are like animated. and just plain kinda. like they photoshoped for HOURS or something. good flick though.

  • i have not seen any Star trek movies..really....so im really excited to see this one coz of Spock.

  • I'm going to agree with all the points Grace made. also the guy in the middle looks too evil to me. I assume that was suppose to be kirk. Its a horrid picture of him.

  • cool poster

  • Really, I don't give a shit about the posters, this movie is gonna kick ass.

  • I can't take it seriously. All the character's look goofy, and Simon Pegg is hard to take seriously. That guy is hilarious.

  • i thought the poster was just ok... but i think this movie will be a modest hit this summer because JJ Abrams is doing a good job making the movie appealing to people who really didn't like the original Star Trek films (like me)

  • Thats exactly why i'll never see this god awful movie. The originals up to 6 were by far the best and everyone after only did well because they had the name recognition of the first 6.

  • Im sorry..

    But i rlly tought that

Star Trek died 5 years ago!.....

  • Anyway, the poster is allright but it's not gonna win any prizes. It doesn't do enough to capture new audiences in my opinion, and they need that if they're going to break any box office records this year.

  • In the end though they're marketing towards both the existing fans and new people so they need to get the balance right. About the woman looking sideways - lol, Grace, you know what that's all about! They wanna make it sexy too. I think they're being pretty shallow about it though. As for the Star Trek logo, you're totally right, if that wasn't there then nobody would know what that movie is even about, but if you see "Star Trek" you know instantly.

  • OK I'm a big trek fan so sorry for the long post - I think they're trying to kind of copy the more classic posters, where there's usually Kirk and Spocks head on the box but the thing is Kirk and Spock in the shape of Shatner and Nimoy had the series and several movies out so it won't work in the same way, but at the same time maybe they're trying to cement a new image of "the crew" but if that's the case they need to do a lot more work than a few posters.

  • Not really sure If I'm gonna see the movie. Never watched Star Trek, but the trailer is making it look pretty awesome. This poster doesn't make me want to see it more, because all in all its just not that great of a poster.

  • as I said somewhere I like classic trek and detest reboot so no won't see it. why can't hollywood think of something new?Because they are all idiots!!!

  • That was a funny line you had about women not following directions.

  • That poster will not make me want to see the movie more. The trailers already have me set on seeing it. :) That poster looks more appropriate for Johnny Depp's "Public Enemies " than for Star trek (A film I also want to see) :) Why make the Characters look like they're mentally jacked, or did someone forgot to close the air lock (& nobody cared to tell the captain)? :) They all look like the "dirty half dozen plus one" in that picture. :)

  • lol

  • I like the poster. It's not exactly eye-catching, but it's tasteful and... whats the word I'm looking for? It just looks classy and kind of sharp. It looks sharp! And the thing about the woman not looking straight forward.... no big deal in my opinion, but they should show off Spock's ears or put him right up front and center with Kirk.

  • I like the poster. Not a fan of Star Trek, but the trailer make want to see the movie. The music help a lot. I wish the movie will be like Sunshine; a visual trip on acid with the perfect music to go with it. Mmmm I'll watch Sunshine again tonight.

  • im not sure how i feel about this movie, but il get to that later. first of all this paticular poster is not very enticing at all, but the other star trek poster where you see four of the crew and it is in color, those are pretty nice. as for the movie, i think its going to be pretty bad, it just looks like some random summer blockbuster action movie, which is not what star trek is about. as a movie it might be good, but as star trek it looks like crap, im not excited for this movie at all.

  • Could you not make a seperate episode about the whole trailer (before the movie is released) so we can discuss what we want and do not want to see?

  • And the poster is currently duct-taped to the roof above my bed.

  • Since Next New Networks - BTT's distributor - runs ads on the show, playing trailers is difficult. But I will definitely brainstorm on a way to showcase movie trailers!

    Thanks for the suggestion!

  • ive seen only one episode of star trek and it was freaking boring!!!

but then when i saw the trailer for the new movie it looks awesome!!!

  • It makes me want to see the movie less, looks lazy and rushly made, why not inlcude some background instead of plain black??

Well i'm not a star trek fan so what do i know..

  • the only one who stands out on the poster is spock. the movie will probably be awsome.

  • I would hang it in my room if I had the room woot.

  • Pretty good idea to post this separately.

  • Yeah, right? It occurred to me last night and I was like "duh"! :)

  • this movie looks shity

  • lol, sorry bout the 'First' had to do it...but i like the poster, just doesn't give you enoough information bout the movie

  • wow i hate te director and all of his movies bud DAMN FUGGIN STAR TRECK!

  • FIRST

  • Not really :) not a big deal calm down with the caps. 0.0

  • Ir looks pretty cool :)
