Hey Bill, I was in the first part of the painting process, taking the existing paint off by sanding, my question is does it matter if while I'm sanding I make mark on the panel?
is it possible to paint only the interor of a case like my case is a thermaltake vh6000 and i cant remove the front from the chasis but i dont want to apply some paint accidently on it. what should i do, should i make it done by professionals?
why do i need to sand cant i just buy a can of black spray paint to paint the inside of my case let it air dry and were all happy? would that work? what advantages do i get from sanding and all tgis stuff etc...
with the inside of your case you can just scuff up the inside with about 400 grit sandpaper before painting..... apply a few coats of self-etching primer or metal primer these primers will allow for max adhesion on bare materials and will not require any post sanding for the primer. apply some even, light coats of paint and your done
i want to completely paint my whole computer case what should i do on the inside? and how bout painting plastic becuase the front part of my computer is plastic
check out the video response to this video, for painting plastic, sand the surface with med grit sandpaper, (300 - 400 grit) use a Flexible primer for plastic from Auto parts store, or Krylon brand FUSION to paint plastic
If I were to paint the chassis of the antec 300, my dad told me that I just need to scuff it up with a scuff pad. He paints cars professionally and I've painted a drive bay thing out of an emachines case, he said I did a very good job. So I wouldn't have to prime it unless bare metal was exposed.
I have an Antec Nine Hundred, that I want to paint "Flat Black" What tools do I need and how do I use them? If you can do a video that would be fine. Either way of telling me is a thumbs up.
Another tip to go along with this video would be to watch the actual ambiant temperature before painting. The warmer the spray cans temperature the better. Cold can temps will leave you with splattered paint. I usually sit my spray cans in a bucket of Hot water from the tap before spraying.
I never paint chassis, always have professioanl powdercoating done, that way it never scratches. Other Use "self etching" primer on bare metal surfaces first, and always wear a respirator mask. Happy Modding to You!
is there a majhor roblem with just letting the paint like it is after applying it?

You should keep spraying instead of 'bursting' the paint on. It may cost a bit more paint, you dont have the risk of droplets coming out.

why do you need to sand?

keep a good distance from the object you are spraying, if the paint sets down on one part of the case it gets to heavy and starts leaking.

don't hold it so close.

first of all. spray in a well ventilated area and use short bursts. keeping it upright does help a lot.

Yes, I always use "self-etching" primer

What is so good about "self-etching" primer?
