The connected hands stuff is Liquid, is why. He definitely mixes other styles in, though, so you do have a point about some of it. Still, Liquid is indeed its own style, with a different sort of approach to the dance.

look at liquid pop's eric...his syle is a lot more towards liquid...liquid is more 'hand' pop lockin n wavin...trust me, it's different...i grew up breakin n poppin and got into ravin..it's different

in essence, you are right - however liquid aims to maintain continuous flow, whereas waving/popping are start/stop motions.
