  • If you played Purple rain, i'd said ok but come on man.

    Way to much reverb

  • Fucking sweet drumming! And sweet snare! And kit :O Everything sounds AMAZING!

  • Excuse my stupid question. But, is the snare you use in ths video the MAPEX 14X5,5" SPECIAL PANTHER MAPLE ? Just asking - because of the word 'special'. Are u using Remo UT Drum Heads ??? greetings*

  • wich kind of reverb u use?

  • hahaha the reverb! Purple rain, purple rain (8)

    good job on the drums!

  • A LOT less reverb man.

  • Is that dave Mathews band?

  • I Have the same snare [i think] 14x5,5 5,5mm maple...

  • @xDrummingPiex 20" Paiste Sig Dry Heavy Ride...

  • woo

  • nice set up and nice playing man

  • dOOd, change the head on the 10 inch tom! or the heads on the 12, 14 and 16! that the toms matches together!!! now the 10inch sounds like a effect-tom or a rototom!

  • @ChrisMultimasking

the 10 inch tom is a piccolo tom

  • what kind of mics r those?

  • Whoa, reverb city.

  • What's the china on the right your hitting at 1:15

  • 10,000 Days Poster= Win

    Danny Carey= Win.!

  • What heads do you use for you toms? They sound incredible.

  • @CorkmANns the piccolo is a coated ambassador. The other tom heads are evans ec2. Not the sst kind the the regular clear ec2's. :)

  • whats the sticking for 1:29 ?

    Genial de verdad,

    Desde Madrid... Saludos,

  • think you could tell me how you have your toms tuned? I love the sound of them, and mine are nowhere near that good.

  • Does anyone know how to get rebound on these drums? I have a 14x5.5 and I just can't get any rebound on it. It's so annoying. I play rudiments fine on my HQ pad with a cloth folded over FOUR times, but I just can't get the same feel on the snare. Please help. Cheers

  • alguien me podria decir q platillos usa?

  • Remo Emporer X

(Awsome snare head by the way)

  • LOVING THE REVERB!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi dude, great snare and good playing :D

What hi-hat are you using? Is it a Paiste Sig?

  • personally, i am a fan of the evans EC2 tom heads.

  • Well his drums are miced (then processed so that really isn't the sound of the snare.... :) You should play the snare at guitar center or a local drum store in your area ..... Nice snare.. :)

  • im talkin reverb

  • So much reverb add, actually that isn't the real sound lol

  • Hi, do you reckon you can upload a demo of the snare drum with no reverb?

I want to buy it but i cant find a good video of it. Thanks.

  • man your good! and thats a sexy sounding snare

  • nice

  • What batter head is that? remo? or something?

  • It´s real sound of Mapex? It sounds really good

  • that inverted china is awesome.!

  • I'm getting the same snare, but 14" x 6.5" so it will be a deeper sound and less reverb

    Anyone think it'll sound ok?

  • is that the Steel one?

have you got it and if you do what's it like i'm thinking of getting one

  • Hey, I'm guessing the rest of the shells are mapex orion and in which case thats a very simmilar setup to mine, same snare, 8", the awesome 10" tom, and 14".

sounds great. I'm not sure why people are against the reverb, I'll admit for my taste its over the top but hey the snare sounds awesome like that! also its not like its in a mix with other instruments on this recording!

  • Could someone tell me what the cymbal is that he has set up above his rack toms? Is it a mini china stack?

  • que peles vc usa?

  • are u a workin drummer or for fun?

  • lol dude this is sweet but please god learn how to use reverb properly

  • what china is the Paiste of right ? ?

    its sound is amazing

  • WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!! to much REVERB bruv!!!

  • The kit is a sonor 2007 birch, the toms are 12, 13 and 16

(I am waiting for my 10" to arrive :D )

  • Man, you are awesome, great hand technique and feel!

That tomsound of yours is exacly what i am going for myself, but i just cant get it.

I tune the top heads a little above the wrinklestage (between 40 and 45 on a tensionwatch) and the bottomhead a little higher.

I use remo ambassador (beaterskins top and bottom) and thats the best sound i have managed to get, but it`s nothing compared to that sweet sound of yours :P

Can you please give me some pointers on what you do to get that tomsound?

  • amazing sound, after all the reverb :P!

do you like 311?? hahah Man, the drummer Chad sexton has a unique sound on his snare!

  • so that's how one get's the kit to sound like the record reeeeeeeveeerrrrbbbb

  • Nice thats one of my fav snares i like pork pies too

  • This snare is a Mapex Black Panther Maple Deluxe with gold hardware? of 14x5.5"?

    Nice Drum Kit!

  • I recorded live onto my comp....reverb was up just a "bit" to much hehe.

  • @matter311 i think it makes it sound friccen sweet

  • is that stock head on the mapex.. great sound.. im gonna get it.

  • plz tell wot china on the left that is

  • i'd say it's a paiste 2002 novo china.

its definitely a novo china due to the inverted bell, and the red logo makes me think its a 2002

  • Correct! 18" Paiste 2002 Nova China.

  • Excelent!

  • echo?

  • fucking nice sound, what drum is that?

  • Atleast I know what to do with my 10" tom now. Superb sounding kit. Especially from mixer to mic.

  • um read the video title hehe.

  • Sry I missed that part lol

  • I find the sound of this drumset is very cool .

  • what you think of crashes in the sig series, like you dont have one, im wondering if there is any problem with them, and i wanted to ask... what bottom head u are using in your snare? haha i have like 4 years without using a 14' snare.. and i have one, that came with my mapex m pro... good playing. keep it up!

  • hey umm what shells are they? like brand wise and that?

also.. what program did you use for the recording and EQ?

one more thing.. what mics and where?

  • beautiful sound but the first tom sounds bad!And too reverb on the snare..

  • I love your toms and hi-hat

  • i like the cymbals man!

  • hey man really nice drumming and beautiful sounding drums

  • Hello m8! Your kit sounds really good. Please tell, what is the chinese above Your hihat?

  • Paiste 2002 18" Nova China.

  • Thx bro! That cymbal sounds amazing! Keep up good work.

  • Very Danny carey sound, but maybe if the pitch was a bit lower. Nice tho, drummer of my band has a black panther and they are beautiful indeed!

  • is tht a dark energy on the right?

  • The crash on the right is an 18" Paiste Dimensions Power Crash, sadly they don't make this one anymore...such a beautiful cymbal...

  • Looooooooooooads of reverb ;D

  • Ya it was an accident, but it sure is fun to play with it like that, I can close my eyes and pretend I'm playing at a huge stadium LOL.

  • how did u get that sound from a remo head on the black panther?

  • i don't know if you've ever used any good remo heads...but they have my favorite snare heads.

looks like he's using a Controlled Sound, which is much much better than the evans reverse dot.

  • paistes are simply the best

  • they freaking are dude!!! no comparison especially traditionals, 2002's and signiatures check out my cymbals

  • mabey if u diddnt have so much friggen reverb id be able to listen to how the snare sound
