This is a very inspiring video clip. I personally like the reference of the cave-men writing on walls and how it did not serve for anything rational but rather something un-rational and mythological that drive our engines. It’s a good way to start thinking abstractly and to motivate you to get ideas down onto paper.
Sub me for the upcoming Woods Show, which will serve as a platform to exchange ideas in regards to stories. If you sub me as a fellow writer, I will promote your channel at some point on the show.
From the flowing pen or the open mouth... writers are natural speakers, in some form. One way or another. These magnificent ideal bastards, they all have something to say. And when the real writers speak of the craft, what they know, what they do and believe in... When they talk about it... all anyone with the passion wants to do is just listen. So just sit there and listen... forever and ever, if possible....
I'm a college student and I developed a website--chainwrite, a collaborative writing website, to try and promote writing creativity for all people in a fun way. I hope for it to bring out the great imagination that lies within all people. Especially the ones who are ashamed to show it.
Why in educaction do we continue to focus so much on the measurables when the richness of our daily lives and the solutions to living in peace with one another are to found in the immeasurables driven by creative thought and inspiration? Thank you for these profound messages that through online mediia may spread and flourish.
Wow, just stumbled upon this from Twitter homepage. Great stuff, inspirational. Thank you! :)
I think some more good advice is to also just let yourself 'be'. You'll find you start doing things which are true to you without even thinking about it.
As humans, we often think we need to think all the time, but if we let go, that is probably when we are really ourselves.
