I tried this for dinner today it was sooo dry, my boyfriend and 2 year old son wouldn't eat it.. LOL.. So, I had to go back to ground beef, but I tried to use ground turkey... I'll try it again, but on the grill next time..
@Dominick574 lol with ground turkey it cooks really fast. its gets dry if you overcook it. i failed at making ground turkey many times. but now i know the right amount of time to not dry it out. also if you add onions inside it stays moist. better luck next time.
I started my weight loss journey about 3 weeks ago... And I'm having a problem with snacking ... what are the best snack food to eat ?? Right now I eat yogurt, almonds & fruits ... I'm not into eating a lot of veggie ... But I'm getting better !!! LOL....By the Way You are a Big Inspiration !!! When I want to give up I watch one of your videos and I tell myself you can do it ... I have loss 10 pounds so far !!! Thanks You for the Videos !!!
that looks really tasty and i agree with one of your comments about a little ketchup being fine. dinner shouldn't be a punishment, we should enjoy healthy versions like we enjoyed eating those greasy a** cheeseburgers =)
Amazing what you can modify to taste just as good as (if not better than) the foods that made you unhealthy. You're being very smart Diva, and you'll find that when your muscle to fat ratio improves, you'll be able to eat like this ALL the time and "treat" yourself to the types of cheese burgers that everyone else eats, but STILL lose or maintain. Funny thing though (and I found this on my journey), once your body gets USED to THIS kind of healthier food, it doesn't really WANT to go back.
I started my weight loss journey Jan 1 , 2012 and I stumbled across your channel last night and spent the evening watching your videos. I have now subscribed and wanted to tell you that you are truly an inspiration and I appreciate you sharing your story with us. I'm still slacking in the exercise dept. but you have encouraged me to get started. Since Jan 1 I have lost 7 lbs; I am currently 217 lbs and my goal is 160 lbs. Please continue to share with us and God Bless You!
Really liked this video. The food looked fab & I am just so happy for u. Hang in there, I know it isn't easy, but you'll get to where you wanna go. By the way, how is ur daughter? I bet she is so big now!
@tazluvsme when i first started my journey i did not eat out. thats what i felt would work for me. other people are able to handle eating out just fine. but not me. i wasnt strong enough quite yet to handle all the temptations. when i learned portion control and healthier eating habits I allowed myself to go out to restaurants. what i would do is ask if they can split it in half one on my plate the other in a togo container.
@cahal333 if its something your doctor said im sure he know better than me! but i eat ketchup every now and again and im fine...we cant be afraid of food. small quantities wont hurt anybody.
@cahal333 tomato paste has less sugars and also has the ingredient lycopene, which is an antioxidant and has protective effects against heart diseases and cancer. Ketchup also has the lycopene but your doctor probably recommended tomato paste because of less sugar.
I am definitely going to try my turkey burger with spinach next time around. I usually mix onions in and the onions is what keeps the turkey from drying out. Thanks for sharing.
Yum! I have always seasoned my patties on the outside, but never even considered mixing the seasonings in and reforming the burgers. I will now thanks to you! I bet that tasted even better than it looked.
Darn I gained 1lbs this week
