  • does anyone know if , when u buy a monome, does it come as a step sequencer only or can u also use half of the buttons as like trigger pads? or do u have to play with the parametres?

  • @rawfflecakes Monome is basically a controller. People usually use it with max msp and create their own programs and such.

  • @rawfflecakes I'd love to have a go on one of them im stuck with old fashioned turntables

  • I don't think it's cheating.

  • I always hated music, then I heard Daedelus. Music is the fucking best.

  • I've been a long time fan, drove 4 hours to see him at a Brooklyn club called southpaw, and was fortunate enough to have him play at Sonar in Baltimore a few months ago (his set was MAD!!! no one stopped moving the whole night!!!) I have nothing but respect and love for the man and his music.

  • I got to speak with him after a show a few days ago, and he's a very cool guy, despite his busy (and probably exhausting) touring schedule. He was very humble, passionate, inspiring, and an attentive listener. The show was pretty badass as well, with him laughing, dancing, and getting into it as much as the crowd.

  • I'm agree with you!

I was asking him some questions after a workshop and despite his big jet-lag, a very nice and passionate guy as you say.

An artist who loves his work!!

  • I love how he samples his own song accoridan at 3:56

    firstly got flipped by madvillain.

  • That was always my favourite Madvillain beat. Weird.

  • "cheating? some people have called it cheating before." hahaha, this video got me into this XLR8R TV series here. love it! thank you!

  • interesting guy

  • Yeah!!! Bigg Up!!!!!!

I remember the 1st time I saw him use that box at an infinite complexity party...I was blown away!!!

I think he had a prototype before the Monome was actaully manufactured an sold to the public....uh not sure!

  • You can actually compare the monome in his early video of just briefly with his new one of LA nocturne. In just briefly you see him play some older version of the monome which doesnt have the flash follow buttons, merely just a computer keyboard. For a school project I did some research into the monome and it was thanks to artists like Deadelus, who improved Brian Crabtrees designs into the monome we see today. LA Nocturne shows off the monome plenty.

  • Awesome, subscribed.

  • daedelus is so expressive

  • So expressive, it should be illegal.

  • go fuck what cho mama say, imma vote obama way!
