(continuation) thing he said, my brother gave Harry away to his friend, 2 years after seeing chris, he still flies around screeching "WHERE'S CHRISTOPHER!! WHERE'S CHRISTOPHER!!" I saw him 3 months ago and I lolled so much it was hilarious!!
Let me tell you the tale of my 20 year old brothers parrot Harry, this is a true story and you will crack up laughing. My brother bought a parrot of unknown breed, the pet store guy said my brother (Christopher) would be lucky if Harry learned any words at all as harry's breed rarely talked, now people always said to Harry "hello Harry" so the idiot then said "hello Harry". But my brothers girlfriend would always say while my brother was out "where's Christopher?" which soon became the only
please teach me how to train my bird. he is a peach fronted parakeet! please he doesn't get close and he doen't talk also! my email is alvinmethoth@hotmail,com
been there done that, here's better tricks. USE GLOVES!!! then change to one glove and pet him once in awhile with the other hand. The idea is to stop the biting? food? really? ha ha ha they don't care! :P
my gcc is 2 years old.. i got him from an avary... he dosent mind my hand in the cage (when i give him breakfast, dinner, clean water) but when i try to give him treats, pet him, he goes crazY!!! Will this technique work on a 2 year old bird??
I used this technique myself before seeing this video with my GCC and it works a charm. My GCC was parent rasied and kept in an aviary with other birds, when we got him home he would hide in the farthest corner of his cage as if he wanted to get away from me. Using this technique to start with turned him from a scared bird into a loving playful GCC! Give it a try...
@rawbmeow yea I got the same problem, I punish him if he attacks other people ( put em in his cage) and that works a bit. But yea they are subborn parrots so. I'm trying to make him poop in his cage, its working well but he still prefers to poop where ever he wants.
Mine is a maroon bellied canure...hope the same training works, he is absolutely mental about dried banana slices... happy all day with one :-)
