to be honist the tempo in cats original was just abit too fast for the meaning of the song.

rods version i dont really listen to too much as i dont think its right someone doing a cover of a great song like that and leaving original lyrics out but hey each to their own. once again great cover you really nailed it spot on

I guess I can live with being told that I'm not as good as Cat Ctevens LOL. He is one of the greatest singer/writers of our generation so I don't feel too bad. I guess I learned the lyrics from the Rod Stewart version, at least that is the way I remember them. Hope you enjoy my other vids, but I have to warn you..... they are not as good as Cat Stevens either LOL! God Bless!

Bryan Adams may very well have done a version of this because many people have covered it, but it was written and recorded back in 1967 by Cat Stevens. Rod stewart did as version of it and he has that raspy voice thing going on, like Bryan Adams, so that might be who you are thinking of. Thanks for listening though and I'm glad you liked it. WEll, I see where I went wrong, this was sucg bya cnadian DJ in 1973 named Keith Hampshire, I always thought he wrote it since his was the first version I ever heard of this.

Yes a harmonizer that was turned down quite a bit. I'm not sure if I like it or not. Nothing like the real thing but when your playing solo it sometimes helps. this is the first time I've done a recording with it.
