1975 honda CB500T Cafe Racer

i want a motorcycle so bad its not even funny. the guy down the road has one of these for sale. complete rebuild into a cafe racer. have the money but not the parents consent. oh well guess ill wait until i move out.

NO BRIGHT YELLOW PAINT JOB!!!

@jah2mail Don't worry. It stayed blue. No yellow paint. I swapped gauges, mirrors, carbs, removed rear fender, mounted tail light under seat, replaced tires, removed electric start. The biggest change was the dyna ignition booster. Turned this tame 500 into a strait line beast torque monster. Massive performance mod for < $70.

Clubmans? Just search for "clubman handlebars." I'm sure there is a variety of distributors.

did you have any issues with throttle/clutch cables? I put clubmans on today and it seems like a cluster fuck and I had to re-sync the throttle cables on the carbs..

Not sure. I swapped out for smaller gauges and the tach died. I'm going to put the original gauges back on.

they're a bit tricky to find parts for. The cb500t was only made for 2 years. Good luck!

the exhaust are Emgo brand reverse megaphone Dunstall style pipes. They are very quiet. Too quiet for me. I've made a lot of progress with the bike. It's almost finished. I'm keeping the blue paint.

nah, the previous owner repainted it. It was probably brown originally.

Wow...I thought those decals on the air cleaners only came in gold. Did he paint them?

maybe so. They have a little gold on them when I get up close.
