i dont think so at all. cold war kids are a bunch of wannabe weirdos and their singer tries to sound like jack white. far from the genius pop of britt daniel and friends
nooooo wannabes of who? and i really have no idea where you hear cold war kids and jack white and hear any similarity besides the high pitched voices. although britt daniels is a musical genius cold war kids is right there too
i hate to sound repetitive comparing cold war kids with the white stripes, but if you took away the weird guitars of the stripes and replaced them with echo-y pianos...then you might have CWK. it's not that i really think theyre derivative anyway, they just get on my nerves.
I became a Spoon fan with "Sneaks", and I thought their best days were behind them, until this newest album Ga ga ga ga ga. Its better than their recent output as far as I'm concerned- not a bad track
Spoons best days are behind them......and thats no knock on their newer stuff (i.g. Beast & Dragona and i just got Ga Ga Ga Ga 2 weeks ago).....If you like this band but dont know about their older stuff download the whole Girls Can Tell and Moonlight cds....if you prefer a more punk rock sound that is found on Series of Sneaks and their first cd Telefono....great band no doubt.
they are soooo great

@faadia45 Me too! They opened with Eddie's Ragga.
I love how everyone cheers when the stars light up, and he has NO idea.

I think Spoon's best days are ahead of them as Britt's songwriting matures.
They are evolving from a indie/punk band into something special.
