Sure Florida's secondary was young and blahblah, but seriously, Michigan was a double digit underdog, not a favorite. I wanan say it was by 17ish but who knows?
They were predicting the biggest 3 bowl blowouts: I don't recall the 3rd but one was Boston College over MSU and Florida over Michigan. Ironic isn't it that without Mike Hart's fumbles, Florida wouldve been the ones blown out!
Oh and if this is the vid with Rise Against on it, it sucks that they disabled audio~ :(
Also, part of your post contradicts itself, you say that Michigan had all of this talent but underachieved, yet Florida was young and inexperienced, and then you go and say that Florida would have beaten Michigan most times anyway. You also say that it was hardly an upset. If Michigan really had a lot of talent and potential, wouldn't Florida have lost 9 out of 10 times instead?
Once again, utterly incorrect. Michigan was unranked at the time, but the perception was that their experience and talent would carry them over the young Florida defense. No one really expected Florida to win. Regardless, Florida managed to outplay Michigan -- after the game was played, it was pretty widely accepted around the league that Florida would have easily won if the game had played out differently.
Michigan would have also scored over 50 had Hart not fumbled twice near the goal line, so you could argue either way. I don't know who you heard that information from, but Michigan was a huge underdog. I have a news report in front of me from December 29, 2007 that lists the Gators as 11 point favorites. CFN (whose team pages have inexplicably been removed) also had the Gators as heavy favorites. I don't know of too many who picked Michigan to win.
Neither of us knows how many points Michigan would have scored (since the dynamics of the game would have been different), but there's nothing to suggest Michigan would have scored ANY more than they already had, since they got the ball back immediately after both fumbles and scored.
Once again, Michigan was heavily favored to win this game, but was ultimately outplayed and still managed to win. If you weren't a Big Ten homer, you'd understand that.
What that suggests is that Michigan did a good job stuffing Florida's defense, despite turnovers. Now, tell me who favored them heavily to win and how they were outplayed but managed a lucky Stanford-over-USC-esque win. I think they were favored in the 2003 Capital One Bowl, and you may be confusing that one with this one. Didn't you say earlier that Michigan outplayed Florida, and how you're reversing it? You act like Michigan only had 70 total offensive yards for the game.
I have to as this why are you trolling the michigan sites honestly. Its pretty weak you are still arguing a loss which everyone sports writer had michigan beat by double digits, You need to get your facts straight. Florida was prepared for this game they just got beat by a better team. Its sad you get on here and defend a loss bro. i mean do you really think you can change the results now ? we are up in the series no changing it michigan 2 , florida 0.
Erroneous on all accounts. At this point I'm repeating myself, but at the time, Michigan was vastly expected to outperform Florida due to their young defense, and rather, Florida played them very closely and aside from what the score appears to show, Florida actually outplayed Michigan on the whole.
What are you talking about WithExtreme. In the national polls shown on ESPN, Florida was a 95% favorite to win. And this gem, "Florida would have easily won if the game had played out differently" has to be the dumbest statement ever. That is like saying, "Florida would have won has we scored more points." Well no kidding. Thanks Captain Obvious. If the game "played out differently" Michigan might have never fumbled and scored more points too, but it didn't, so poor argument.
Absolutely not true at all. Actually, from what ESPN was showing, Michigan was clearly favored to win due to their experience, while Florida had a very young defense. I realize that it's tempting to let nostalgia cloud your memory of what actually happened, what with Carr retiring and going out on top, but this wasn't a case of beating down a highly touted Florida team or anything. Most analysts favored Michigan here.
Wow! You are so incorrect. Go do a search. The analysts at Rivals and Scouts almost unanimously picked Florida, ESPN picked Florida, the line on the game for betting was Florida -10. Where in any of that is a prediction Michigan would win or was the favorite. Granted Florida winning by 10 or more was not that extravagant. Thanks for playing, but you lose. Try to at least support your argument instead of just tossing around pathetic comments about nostalgia and clouded memories.
For the fifth time, this is 100% incorrect. I know that if a lie is repeated enough times, it takes on an appearance of fact. However, your rambling, incoherent run-on sentence is just that -- a lie.
It's quite easy to look up (though you're clearly incapable of using a search engine). Every reputable analyst selected Michigan to win by ten (NOT Florida) because of their experience.
Once again, you are completely wrong. It's okay; everyone is human -- some are just more human than others.
So now we know you don't know how sports betting works. When it says -10 for Florida that means they are predicted to win by 10. Face it -- Florida OWNS Michigone Missagain SCUM faggots you suck worthless yankee trash football.
so basiacly what your saying is your team is 100% better and got there ass beat. hahahahahahahahahhaha florida whope on ohio state. :) but they are just a bunch of cunt faced pussys
again you and your GAYTOR nation CAN NOT ARGUE A LOSS wait 2LOSSES 1st it was 38-30 to Michigan then it was 41-35 wow your right the SEC is so tough i mean wow you got me there. All seriousness florda's record is not very good against the Big Ten I mean now you want to talk good record against another confrence Lets look at Michigan's over the SEC 25-3-1 now that isdominance and actually Michigan got the crystal football scooter i did my 4 years in ann arbor i've seen it
Funny Vandy always gives the gators a tough time according to all the homers i talk to here in the state of Florida. and what the loss record is not higher than 5 against the sec and that is a fact!!! Florida is good ok but not that day they were good 5 years prior to that but not against us listen you are arguing 1. a game that happened 2 years ago 2. you arguing a loss michigan does well against the sec period florida not so good against the BigTen this video proves it giet over yourself
20-5-1 is Michigan's all-time record vs the SEC. This is a FACT. No way Florida and Tim TeaBag win 9 out of 10 against that Michigan team. If you had any objectivity you would have known Michigan was very injured that year. They were much better than their record indicated and the Cap One Bowl proved it.
Another misleading statistic. Not only are over ten of those wins are against VANDERBILT, but most of those ten wins against Vanderbilt were from a time when Vanderbilt wasn't even part of the SEC yet. Keep dreaming -- your team hasn't done anything of note against the SEC lately. Remember that bowl game against Tennessee? Oh yeah.
Once again, it's widely accepted around the NCAA that Florida would have easily dismantled Michigan in 9 out of 10 other games. Face it.
You Face THIS: Michigan is 12-4 against the historical SEC teams and 7-3 vs SEC in bowl games. I am sure most of those early games with the only highly reputable academic school in the SEC were not in bowl games. Get your facts straight before you post.
Once again, your stats are misleading and incorrect -- you fail to take into account ALL of Michigan's games against Vandy and against South Carolina when SC was still an independent. You also don't account for all the times Michigan was favored to win handily against those teams and came out flat.
Ironic that a Michigan fan is spouting off about a "reputable school" when Forbes has UM ranked 200th in the country, and Jim Harbaugh exposed the whole UM "general studies" fiasco two years ago.
Face it you are on here defending a loss that Florida would have lost 10 out of10 times. the SEC is overrated really . who is the top schools really in your confrence, lets run down them ok here we go Florida given, LSU, underacheiveing Georgia and as of last year Alabama.every other school is just average at best. c'mon bro 4 teams that are good hell every confrence has that. so remember your team is florida made but Michigan OWNED , YOU CAN'T ARGUE A LOSS THIS VIDEO PROVES IT!!!!!!!!!
I remember this game quite clearly, actually, and most analysts actually agreed that it was pretty obvious that if this game were played 10 times, Florida would have taken 9 out of ten. They were simply unprepared for a mediocre Michigan squad that played the game of their lives. Florida outplayed Michigan in every facet of the game, but in the end, Michigan came out on top due to luck and turnovers.
what game did you watch let me guess in the SEC FANTASY LAND listen bro i played I put on the pads i did my 4 years and played behind some great nfl talent at Michigan. I actually have the dvd to this game and the announcers never mentioned anything about florida beating Michigan it was the other way around. Its tough to swallow i get it. you got beat but it happens florida is good but so is michigan and they are good consistantly except last year. LOOK OUTSIDE THE BOX ITS OK !!!
Laughable. The sad truth is that you have nothing to do with any respectable football program anywhere now, and no wonder -- if you recognized how inferior the Big Ten is to the SEC, we wouldn't be having this conversation. After all, if Peyton Manning hadn't been ROBBED of the Heisman back in '97, I'm sure we'd both think differently.
Peyton was no doubt a great and i mean great qb but Listen Woodson might have snubbed him but it happens Woodson was an amazing FOOTBALL player. Inferior no your program struggles against the BgTen that is fact 1. The Media Fluffs the SEC to be better than the rest when its not!!!! You on the other can't even take off the blinders and see that you only beat the biggest choke artist in the BigTen and that is OSU. You probably never put on the pads and only sit in your chair ARGUING A LOSS!!!
PS... I know alot of gator fans just like you here in j-ville fl. and you and the other homers make your school look bad. Fans like yourself don't get and the true florida fans look down on you. all the gator fans before the game sounded just like you do acting like their shit don't stink. but when you get your ass handed to you by a BETTER team all the true gator fans were more humble and showed true sportsmanship. We can go on and on but you like arguing a loss to a GREAT MICHIGAN TEAM!!!
You look like a fool arguing the strength of the Big Ten. The fact of the matter is the Big Ten is easily the weakest of the BCS conferences, well behind both the ACC and the Big East. If you weren't such a Big Ten homer, you'd see how awful your conference is -- the rest of the country laughs at you every year.
The reason Nebraska got the grand prize in '97 instead of you is because of how poorly your conference performed in its bowls. Your team barely beat fucking RYAN LEAF. What a joke.
Actually, Michigan won despite bad luck and turnovers. Mike Hart, who rarely fumbled, had four fumbles in this game. This wasn't a great Michigan squad but it was a pretty good one, although nothing like the preseason expectations, but much better than the expectations after going 0-2. I think 9 out of 10 is a bit much, more like 5 out of 10. Michigan upsetting Florida wasn't of the stunning caliber that Iowa's win over Penn State last year was (Penn State outplayed Iowa in every way but lost).
Get your facts straight before you post -- Mike Hart fumbled twice, not FOUR times, and Michigan's win was not an upset in any facet. Michigan was expected to win, as they had a veteran-laden offense, while Florida had a very young defense with a lot of freshman. Michigan grossly underperformed, and it's widely accepted that Florida would have handled Michigan had they played again.
I forgot about the Henne interceptions, I thought I remembred Hart fumbling four times. But both of Hart's fumbles were near the goal line. Either way, four turnovers to Florida's none. Florida also went 2-11 on third downs, a pretty poor statistic. Michigan was not expected to win, they were expected to get absolutely blown out because they had shown weakness against the spread. Michigan was unrakned and Florida was #9 at the time.
hmm..soulflyx69..what about if 2008-2009 UF played UM? Who would win the most out of 10 times? You and I both know UF would win it 10 out of 10 times!
no they wouldn't look at it like this Henne is and will be a better QB than tebow tebow is a amazing athlete but not a better QB. so Mike hart better than all your running backs on your roster now and in the last 10 years. recievers big and fast yea O-line we are way better on that aspect i mean listen you cant argue a loss those seniors were the best toever come through Michigan and there have been alot of hall of fame come through there Florida is good but not on that day they werent
Tim Tebow is arguably one of the greatest college quarterbacks of all time. He won the Heisman as a sophomore (which is the first time that has ever been done) and was in the running for it as a junior. Chad Henne has never come close to doing with Tebow has done. Again, your lack of football knowledge is positively staggering.
If you want to argue from a conference standpoint, virtually every team in the SEC is solid. Just look at the SEC bowl record. The Big Ten has ONE okay team. ONE!
Tebow is arguably the greatest athlete yes not a great QB you know who is better than him Jevon Snead, Colt Mccoy, Sam Bradford hands down!! And most Definately Chad Henne is you have to look outside the box bro it must kill you to do so. People don't realize it took Michigan 40 years to have a bad season 40years, remember in 79 or 80 the gators went 0-10-1 florida didn't even win a game bro. Henne is not a running QB of course he wont come close to that again look outside the box
Michigan was healthy this game..!st time all season and When Carr wasnt conservative and actually used all our teams talent Michigan was capable of doing this every year he coached us.Too conservative Lloyd
Florida's got a great team this year: there's no denying that. But I don't think people should rub it in that they're playing for the nc and UM isn't. We lost most of our players and are undergoing possibly the most massive change in the program's history. Us going to the nc this year would've been like... the Lions NOT going 0-16 (a miracle). This game was indeed a classic!! And yes, I've cheered for Florida this year. Kudos to them, and I expect 'em to win, but I gotta go for OU.(2nd fave team)
I don't care for U of M....but seriously...losing to a team that lost to App. State at home IN YOUR OWN STATE with a Heisman winner as your QB is pathetic.
We might be sitting at home but we still beat your ass both times we played.congradulations on your national championship even though i think usc is the best team.
Are they really? the last i looked at the books Michigan is 2-0 against the gators and as well they are the winningest team in college football history so really are they better? Your tradition is weak just like your schedule every year . get over yourself, they could have played that game 10 times and Michigan would have won 9 out of 10 times !!!!
Florida is the winningest team in college football since 1990, look it up. We don't have the storied history of Michigan, that is true. We do have a nice recent history(last 20 years) The Gators have been one of the best programs in the Nation. FACT.
Well........ Michigan is the winningest team in college football history so that trumps the 90's and are record was just as good as yours . Listen I only knock the gators due to their fans. No one can deny Michigan for being consistanly good year after year it took over 40 years for us to have 1 bad year, What major college can say that Not many if any.But i will say that the SEC is not as strong as advertised this game proves it! Florida is notorious for playing weak schedules but not always.
1 game does not prove anything. I could say the 2006 BSC NC game when the Gators beat Ohio State 41-14 proves the SEC is better. Sorry buddy, 1 game proves nothing. The SEC is the toughest conference, that is the opinion of all the experts. Stop living in the past. Michigan has 2 NC's, 1948 and 1997. Florida has 3 NC's in 12 years. I'll take the present history any day.
im with you. that dumbass bitch withextremeprejudice is a fucking retartd. he clearly knows jack shit about football.
that 1 bad year happened because of the new players, coach, and offense. im sure it would be the same for every team out there. ohh and i knock on the gators AND ohio state becasue of their fans. there all cockey ass no life talkin shit homo fuck faces teehee
First off, Rich Rod is no real michigan man for one thing, coach carr was showed that michigan could prevail against a team that was had a heisman QB.
being a Fla boi who ultimately decided 2 go 2 UM instead of staying my ass in-state & going 2 UF where there's warm weather, hoes everywhere, great parties & a thing called in-state tuition i have come to the retaliation that this does not lessen the blow 4 me. but it allows me 2 poke fun @ my friends who went 2 UF & once i obtain my UofM degree i will assert my highbrow culture unto them. oh yeah GO BLUE!!!
im also a Fl boy but i dont know what the hell youre talking about as far as girls go...there are parties everywhere but in fl the girls are dumb bitches...and no better looking in my opinion. but if you get a girl upnorth then you got yourself a good lady not some shady southern bitch.
michigan has nobody this year, they lost all their good players in this game. this year florida is awesome, last year michigan beat florida simple as that. michigan has nobody, not even a good coach. goodbye carr :(.
Great contest between two excellent teams. It's for the best that U of M won. To send Lloyd Carr off with a win, for one. Also, had they lost, we may be hearing even MORE about the SEC's speed and dominance over the BigTen. Congrats coach Carr, and let's hope this next season under RR is an exciting one, if nothing else.
Congrats to Michigan for Crushing the Gators! I normally hate the BigTen because of overrated OSU but I wanted to see U M redeem themselves and they did. Good Job!
really? northwestern, michigan state, indiana? does appy state need a guaranteed win every year? floridas defense was very young. playing against an offense that was loaded with lots of talent. and stil the game was decided by 6 pts? thats not mistreating
What is worse, getting beat by Appalachian State, or losing to the team that lost to Appalachian State? Michigan made Florida their bitch. Again. Hell, even sorry-ass Michigan State gave the Gators a spanking recently. That's 0-3 against teams from Michigan since 2000. Nowhere did I say Michigan was "awesome" cupcake, just that they did Florida with no lube. Again
only decided by 6pts cuz Carr's inability to call plays. take that dumb screen to Jake Long away and maybe 1 of the fumbles and the Gators would of gotten ran out the building. What sec fans like u fail to realize is that UM recruits nationally. they can adapt or play any style of football they want. its just Carr is stuck in his ways and he wants to win by holding on to the ball. We have always had this kind of talent! Carr never used it. hit me on yahoo if u wanna discuss more as odog510
Every day the Gators lose is a good day. What an absolute beat down that game was. Hart had 23 fumbles on the 1-yard line. The end score should've been 107-14. Great job Michigan!
Michigan mistreated those pussies. I wish we could play Forida every year. As a matter of fact, I wish Florida was in the Big Ten. Indiana, Michigan State, and Northwestern all could use at least one guaranteed win every year. The only reason it was not a 20+ win was because Hart kept giving you homo's the ball on the 1/2 inch line. That was the only way the Florida "D" could keep him out of the end zone.
Due to respect to Rich and his new offense system, for those people who said Lloyd Carr's offense is predictable. I say blah because the offense was awesome but was held back due to series of injuries. Now at full strength, they scored 41 pts against the Gators defense!! And the Ohio State fans said that they LITERALLY beat Michigan? On Henne's bum shoulder and Hart's bum ankle? Ohio State got lucky this year!! GO BLUE!
All you can suck on is 1 lonely Win against a Fl team with a Freshman D . I Thought MI Fans knew College Ball , Your just like your BuckNuts = Losers . GO GATORS MNC 2008
I'd also like to point out that your Florida Gators got handed a close win over Iowa in the 2006 Outback Bowl in one of the worst-officiated games I've ever seen. But hey, have it your way. The BigTen = losers. We just know how to beat Florida. And had UM beaten Ohio St and went on to play Florida in the title game, your Gators may well be 0-3. Bwahaha!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
just face it big ten fans. u r the black people of college football. no matter what u do or who u beat, the perception is that u suck and perception is reality.
Its funny how you talk about owenage (spelled incorrectly but I wouldnt expect more)...when was the last time Florida beat U of M? Give them credit where it due, U of M spanked Florida in the Capital One bowl...the score was closer than the actual game was.
That wasnt what you were talking about. You were talking about one team owning another and Michigan has had Florida's number when they have played recently. You are like a child with that type of comment. Stick to the point you were making or admit it was incorrect. Notice how there was never a comment from me how Florida was not a good program. Although if you really want to take it there and be childish, any U of M fan could bust out the all-time most winning program line.
your a complete retard, michigans offense blows it will this year, rich isnt going to bring the spread offense to michigan with a bunch of oversized white guys running the offense, you need fast negros who can run quick and quick thinkers like a TIM TEBOW, floridas defense was young last year(not to good), so i would say to you that ur wrong
Damn WMG.

All seriousness florda's record is not very good against the Big Ten I mean now you want to talk good record against another confrence Lets look at Michigan's over the SEC 25-3-1 now that isdominance and actually Michigan got the crystal football scooter i did my 4 years in ann arbor i've seen it
soulflyx69 2 years ago
PS - Michigan has more losses against the SEC than that, and over ten of those WINS are against Vanderbilt. They're hardly good against the SEC.
WithExtremePrejudice 2 years ago
Funny Vandy always gives the gators a tough time according to all the homers i talk to here in the state of Florida. and what the loss record is not higher than 5 against the sec and that is a fact!!! Florida is good ok but not that day they were good 5 years prior to that but not against us listen you are arguing 1. a game that happened 2 years ago 2. you arguing a loss michigan does well against the sec period florida not so good against the BigTen this video proves it giet over yourself
soulflyx69 2 years ago
20-5-1 is Michigan's all-time record vs the SEC. This is a FACT. No way Florida and Tim TeaBag win 9 out of 10 against that Michigan team. If you had any objectivity you would have known Michigan was very injured that year. They were much better than their record indicated and the Cap One Bowl proved it.
Gusisblue 2 years ago
Another misleading statistic. Not only are over ten of those wins are against VANDERBILT, but most of those ten wins against Vanderbilt were from a time when Vanderbilt wasn't even part of the SEC yet. Keep dreaming -- your team hasn't done anything of note against the SEC lately. Remember that bowl game against Tennessee? Oh yeah.
Once again, it's widely accepted around the NCAA that Florida would have easily dismantled Michigan in 9 out of 10 other games. Face it.
WithExtremePrejudice 2 years ago
You Face THIS: Michigan is 12-4 against the historical SEC teams and 7-3 vs SEC in bowl games. I am sure most of those early games with the only highly reputable academic school in the SEC were not in bowl games. Get your facts straight before you post.
Gusisblue 2 years ago
Once again, your stats are misleading and incorrect -- you fail to take into account ALL of Michigan's games against Vandy and against South Carolina when SC was still an independent. You also don't account for all the times Michigan was favored to win handily against those teams and came out flat.
Ironic that a Michigan fan is spouting off about a "reputable school" when Forbes has UM ranked 200th in the country, and Jim Harbaugh exposed the whole UM "general studies" fiasco two years ago.
WithExtremePrejudice 2 years ago
Face it you are on here defending a loss that Florida would have lost 10 out of10 times. the SEC is overrated really . who is the top schools really in your confrence, lets run down them ok here we go Florida given, LSU, underacheiveing Georgia and as of last year Alabama.every other school is just average at best. c'mon bro 4 teams that are good hell every confrence has that. so remember your team is florida made but Michigan OWNED , YOU CAN'T ARGUE A LOSS THIS VIDEO PROVES IT!!!!!!!!!
soulflyx69 2 years ago
I remember this game quite clearly, actually, and most analysts actually agreed that it was pretty obvious that if this game were played 10 times, Florida would have taken 9 out of ten. They were simply unprepared for a mediocre Michigan squad that played the game of their lives. Florida outplayed Michigan in every facet of the game, but in the end, Michigan came out on top due to luck and turnovers.
WithExtremePrejudice 2 years ago
what game did you watch let me guess in the SEC FANTASY LAND listen bro i played I put on the pads i did my 4 years and played behind some great nfl talent at Michigan. I actually have the dvd to this game and the announcers never mentioned anything about florida beating Michigan it was the other way around. Its tough to swallow i get it. you got beat but it happens florida is good but so is michigan and they are good consistantly except last year. LOOK OUTSIDE THE BOX ITS OK !!!
soulflyx69 2 years ago
WithExtremePrejudice 2 years ago
Peyton was no doubt a great and i mean great qb but Listen Woodson might have snubbed him but it happens Woodson was an amazing FOOTBALL player. Inferior no your program struggles against the BgTen that is fact 1. The Media Fluffs the SEC to be better than the rest when its not!!!! You on the other can't even take off the blinders and see that you only beat the biggest choke artist in the BigTen and that is OSU. You probably never put on the pads and only sit in your chair ARGUING A LOSS!!!
soulflyx69 2 years ago
We can go on and on but you like arguing a loss to a GREAT MICHIGAN TEAM!!!
soulflyx69 2 years ago
You look like a fool arguing the strength of the Big Ten. The fact of the matter is the Big Ten is easily the weakest of the BCS conferences, well behind both the ACC and the Big East. If you weren't such a Big Ten homer, you'd see how awful your conference is -- the rest of the country laughs at you every year.
The reason Nebraska got the grand prize in '97 instead of you is because of how poorly your conference performed in its bowls. Your team barely beat fucking RYAN LEAF. What a joke.
WithExtremePrejudice 2 years ago
Actually, Michigan won despite bad luck and turnovers. Mike Hart, who rarely fumbled, had four fumbles in this game. This wasn't a great Michigan squad but it was a pretty good one, although nothing like the preseason expectations, but much better than the expectations after going 0-2. I think 9 out of 10 is a bit much, more like 5 out of 10. Michigan upsetting Florida wasn't of the stunning caliber that Iowa's win over Penn State last year was (Penn State outplayed Iowa in every way but lost).
MVillani1985 2 years ago
Get your facts straight before you post -- Mike Hart fumbled twice, not FOUR times, and Michigan's win was not an upset in any facet. Michigan was expected to win, as they had a veteran-laden offense, while Florida had a very young defense with a lot of freshman. Michigan grossly underperformed, and it's widely accepted that Florida would have handled Michigan had they played again.
WithExtremePrejudice 2 years ago
I forgot about the Henne interceptions, I thought I remembred Hart fumbling four times. But both of Hart's fumbles were near the goal line. Either way, four turnovers to Florida's none. Florida also went 2-11 on third downs, a pretty poor statistic. Michigan was not expected to win, they were expected to get absolutely blown out because they had shown weakness against the spread. Michigan was unrakned and Florida was #9 at the time.
MVillani1985 2 years ago
hmm..soulflyx69..what about if 2008-2009 UF played UM? Who would win the most out of 10 times? You and I both know UF would win it 10 out of 10 times!
icicle1906 2 years ago
no they wouldn't look at it like this Henne is and will be a better QB than tebow tebow is a amazing athlete but not a better QB. so Mike hart better than all your running backs on your roster now and in the last 10 years. recievers big and fast yea O-line we are way better on that aspect i mean listen you cant argue a loss those seniors were the best toever come through Michigan and there have been alot of hall of fame come through there Florida is good but not on that day they werent
soulflyx69 2 years ago
Tim Tebow is arguably one of the greatest college quarterbacks of all time. He won the Heisman as a sophomore (which is the first time that has ever been done) and was in the running for it as a junior. Chad Henne has never come close to doing with Tebow has done. Again, your lack of football knowledge is positively staggering.
If you want to argue from a conference standpoint, virtually every team in the SEC is solid. Just look at the SEC bowl record. The Big Ten has ONE okay team. ONE!
WithExtremePrejudice 2 years ago
Tebow is arguably the greatest athlete yes not a great QB you know who is better than him Jevon Snead, Colt Mccoy, Sam Bradford hands down!! And most Definately Chad Henne is you have to look outside the box bro it must kill you to do so. People don't realize it took Michigan 40 years to have a bad season 40years, remember in 79 or 80 the gators went 0-10-1 florida didn't even win a game bro. Henne is not a running QB of course he wont come close to that again look outside the box

here's the thing, last year michigan lost all their seniors that's why they suck this year.
michigan is my favorite team and will always be, florida is my 2nd fave.
anyway, just remember this haters, we beat tim tebow and the gators then we lost everyone.
chad henne (michigan QB) was that kind of quarterback that was on and off.
runescapedOOd11 3 years ago
Florida's got a great team this year: there's no denying that. But I don't think people should rub it in that they're playing for the nc and UM isn't. We lost most of our players and are undergoing possibly the most massive change in the program's history. Us going to the nc this year would've been like... the Lions NOT going 0-16 (a miracle). This game was indeed a classic!! And yes, I've cheered for Florida this year. Kudos to them, and I expect 'em to win, but I gotta go for OU.(2nd fave team)

Are they really? the last i looked at the books Michigan is 2-0 against the gators and as well they are the winningest team in college football history so really are they better? Your tradition is weak just like your schedule every year . get over yourself, they could have played that game 10 times and Michigan would have won 9 out of 10 times !!!!
soulflyx69 2 years ago
Florida is the winningest team in college football since 1990, look it up. We don't have the storied history of Michigan, that is true. We do have a nice recent history(last 20 years) The Gators have been one of the best programs in the Nation. FACT.
knightguy11 2 years ago
Florida is the winningest team in college football since 1990, look it up.
knightguy11 2 years ago
Well........ Michigan is the winningest team in college football history so that trumps the 90's and are record was just as good as yours . Listen I only knock the gators due to their fans. No one can deny Michigan for being consistanly good year after year it took over 40 years for us to have 1 bad year, What major college can say that Not many if any.But i will say that the SEC is not as strong as advertised this game proves it! Florida is notorious for playing weak schedules but not always.
soulflyx69 2 years ago
1 game does not prove anything. I could say the 2006 BSC NC game when the Gators beat Ohio State 41-14 proves the SEC is better. Sorry buddy, 1 game proves nothing. The SEC is the toughest conference, that is the opinion of all the experts. Stop living in the past. Michigan has 2 NC's, 1948 and 1997. Florida has 3 NC's in 12 years. I'll take the present history any day.

Great contest between two excellent teams. It's for the best that U of M won. To send Lloyd Carr off with a win, for one. Also, had they lost, we may be hearing even MORE about the SEC's speed and dominance over the BigTen. Congrats coach Carr, and let's hope this next season under RR is an exciting one, if nothing else.

really? northwestern, michigan state, indiana? does appy state need a guaranteed win every year? floridas defense was very young. playing against an offense that was loaded with lots of talent. and stil the game was decided by 6 pts? thats not mistreating
wcatdback9 3 years ago
What is worse, getting beat by Appalachian State, or losing to the team that lost to Appalachian State? Michigan made Florida their bitch. Again. Hell, even sorry-ass Michigan State gave the Gators a spanking recently. That's 0-3 against teams from Michigan since 2000. Nowhere did I say Michigan was "awesome" cupcake, just that they did Florida with no lube. Again
Ledhead323 3 years ago
only decided by 6pts cuz Carr's inability to call plays. take that dumb screen to Jake Long away and maybe 1 of the fumbles and the Gators would of gotten ran out the building.

GO BLUE!

Bwahaha!

and who's going to the nc and who's not
Andrewizdashiz 3 years ago
That wasnt what you were talking about. You were talking about one team owning another and Michigan has had Florida's number when they have played recently. You are like a child with that type of comment. Stick to the point you were making or admit it was incorrect. Notice how there was never a comment from me how Florida was not a good program. Although if you really want to take it there and be childish, any U of M fan could bust out the all-time most winning program line.
BMirzoian 3 years ago
your a complete retard, michigans offense blows it will this year, rich isnt going to bring the spread offense to michigan with a bunch of oversized white guys running the offense, you need fast negros who can run quick and quick thinkers like a TIM TEBOW, floridas defense was young last year(not to good), so i would say to you that ur wrong
