Brothers in Arms was a perfect combination of Neil Dorfsman 80s MTV-style production and the fact that it was still intrinsically a Dire Straits' type of record, despite the touch of gloss. If an album is a commercial AND critical success, there's a good chance it's an all-time classic. 30+ million sales can't be wrong
