Its the same team, same defence (or even better with Johnson and not Arbeloa) same midfielder (without Alonso only) and the same strikers. Sometimes Liverpool are more dependant on not Gerrard but Torres and others. Gerrard can be good but he gets way too much credit where other LFC players deserve. If Torres where to go what would be of LFC?
@Fly2theSora It's definitely a different team.. last season him and Torres were fit for nearly the whole season (except torres for the first like 10 games) and look how much better they did(both as a team and individually). This season they were hardly fit and even fewer times were they fit at the same time. (if you get what I mean?) Trust me, Alonso being gone made more of a difference than you'd think.. we had to have the likes of Lucas start/play and he killed the flow.
@Fly2theSora Not saying LFC is "Team Gerrard" or whatever you're implying, Torres has a lot to do with it too. But I'm pretty sure CFC has a "Torres" too, in the form of Drogba. So its not all Lamps for them either.. What you're saying about LFC applies more to Chelsea so don't act like Lampard is the heart of Chelsea..
And if Torres were to go more likely than not we'd be able to splash out some money for another striker who could fill his place and other players can pick up the slack as well

for me lampard is better. The way england plays without gerrard and with lampard playing along with barry is better for the team to win games than gerrard and barry are together in the middle.
