Vaya , lo quieres todo ya , una gran canción inocente para tararear en tus mejores días y un vidéo "pour la vie " . No todos estamos tan cerca del mar y no conozco quien me haya dicho que no lo ama .Gracias ,buena elección .
This original version is way better than any version sung in English. Comes across as far more sincere. The English versions are not even translations from the French, just a different song grafted onto the tune, doesn't work as well.
It is La Mer, the Sea - La Mere, the Mother and - Le Maire, the mayor....these are the most often quoted homonyms in French. A homonym is a word that sounds the same as another but is spelt differently and usually has a different meaning. Examples in English would be Sell - Cell - Buoy - Boy - Bale - Bail - I - eye.........just a little note from an Irishman
@Napo130n Gee, pal, despite your expertise (?) in French, any search for the song LA MER returns exactly that: LA MER. So you can go try to explain why the song is called LA MER and has always been called LA MER, in French.
fantastic!!!

@Napo130n Are you kidding? I am French and believe me, we say "LA" mer. The sea is feminine in french...

@Napo130n Ocean (l'océan) is masculine, but sea (la mer) is definitely fem
activevacances 4 months ago
@Napo130n Actually, "La Mer" is feminine, "Le Mer" is a basic elementary mistake...

in the title la mer is spelt wrong-it should be la mer... with no e at the end!
