  • fantastic!!!

  • Good job, Octavio ! And Arielinseattle, this is really Charles Trenet, not Jacques Brel singing

  • this is Jaques Brel,singing

  • @Arielinseattle29 It is not Jacques Brel. It's Charles Trenet. Truly.

  • You are helping me get extra credit in my French class! THANKS! haha

  • One of my favourite songs ever! I can feel the sand under me!

  • J' aime cette version plus de l'un de Francois

  • Vaya , lo quieres todo ya , una gran canción inocente para tararear en tus mejores días y un vidéo "pour la vie " . No todos estamos tan cerca del mar y no conozco quien me haya dicho que no lo ama .Gracias ,buena elección .

  • It was brill - well done!

  • I had fix the video but my computer got a virus and i lost all the videos i had made so ill try to remake them sorry i could not upload the fix

  • I found it wooo hooooo

  • Thanks a lot for posting the song and the lyrics!!!

  • Nice job. I liked having the words with the song. Thanks.

  • Not bad video but the final "pour la vie" lyric came up slightly late.

  • @6F6G So i will fix and upload other songs as soon as i have the time

  • It's terrific! And what a hauntingly sweet song.

  • It is La Mer, the Sea - La Mere, the Mother and - Le Maire, the mayor....these are the most often quoted homonyms in French. A homonym is a word that sounds the same as another but is spelt differently and usually has a different meaning. Examples in English would be Sell - Cell - Buoy - Boy - Bale - Bail - I - eye.........just a little note from an Irishman

  • nice video and lovely song. thanks for sharing and thanks for the lyrics

  • Hello i'm french ! It's La Mer ! Not la mere ! La mere it's mum ;D

  • thanks for the upload except the spelling mistakes it was good

  • Comment removed

  • @Napo130n Yeah ok thanks

  • @Napo130n non c'est la mer c'est feminin

  • @Napo130n , objection: c'est LA MER (the sea) :-), la mère (mother) or le maire (mayor of a city)...all pronounced in the same way...

  • @Napo130n Are you kidding? I am French and believe me, we say "LA" mer. The sea is feminine in french...

  • @Napo130n NO BITCH! HE IS RIGHT YOU ARE WRONG ITS LA MER ASSWHOLE!

  • @EduardoRidel You can't even spell arsehole you fool !!! :-(((

  • @Napo130n Gee, pal, despite your expertise (?) in French, any search for the song LA MER returns exactly that: LA MER. So you can go try to explain why the song is called LA MER and has always been called LA MER, in French.

  • @Napo130n Ocean (l'océan) is masculine, but sea (la mer) is definitely fem

  • @Napo130n Actually, "La Mer" is feminine, "Le Mer" is a basic elementary mistake...

  • in the title la mer is spelt wrong-it should be la mer... with no e at the end!
