Is Jikkyou the game where you can fight in a ring on a cliff & where the ring floor gets weak as the match progresses & eventually opens up so that you can slam your opponent to his death (or vice versa)? I remember my brother playing that game. He downloaded it from that awesome Ring of Fire website in the late 90's that used to have every wrestling game rom at the time.

@knightman718 I think that may have been the FMW game that was released for the Super Famicom. That had a lot of odd-ball gimmicks for its stages.

I checked out the FAQ/walkthrough of that FMW game at GameFAQs & that cliff match isn't listed as one of the match types. I'll keep looking at other Japanese SNES/SFC games.

I also remember another one that had a battle royal mode & where the wrestlers in the game could bleed & that the blood could fade over time like in a real wrestling match (as it gets rubbed on various surfaces like the ring mat). That might have been Gekitou Burning Pro Wrestling.

I found it!!!! It's Funaki Masakatsu: Hybrid Wrestler. I just played that mode on the SNES9x emulator & slammed my opponent through the ring to his death. Now I have to see if I can find a translated version. I'd love to buy it if I can find a copy.

@jonamoraa There is one translation though by Phil...There is a rom of it somewhere. Just search for the name of the rom and [En by Phil v1.0]. It is corrupted though. But the only drawback from that is sudden slowdown (from using the fast forward key at certain times and it causes a memory leak, usually before a match and you let go of the key before the ref starts to walk to the ring) or both wrestlers walking behind the ring causes graphics corruption.

imagine,if you will, that Konami gets the people that worked with them on Rumble Roses(I think it was Yuke's)and remake this on the next-gen systems in full 3d! and like this one,it would have ALL of Konami's characters as wrestlers! what do you ladies & gents think?

I remember playing this for the first time and did the career mode. I was in BOM federation and was running around and got electricuted. Then the match got outside and I was walking around and BOOM! Scared the piss out of me.

It pops up on eBay from time to time. Usually, it's rather cheap, too.
