You can keep a log book of all your gambling spendings and declare those expenses in your tax report, most people don't know this and most people don't do it.....just a little tip for you. You are winning money and you are complaining on the taxes you are going to pay??? Un-fucking-real ! Even if you were to pay half of it, you would still be little over $3k richer. I'd be happy. @dibbla Most casino's give you an eletronic card that you can put into the machines it keeps track of all your gambling, they use it to offer you perks, and you can then have exact figures to report to the IRS. So if you win a jackpot and lose it gambling you won't get taxed for it.

Also the casino can figure out how to get more money out of you by knowing exactly how all their customers play.

What the digital readout says at the bottom left, after 'handpay required', is that she won 25920 quarters on that spin. This means that according to the payout chart at the top: three red 7's pay 180 coins, and as the 12X symbols are wild, and there are two, she won 144 x 180 coins = 25920 coins in total. 25920 /4 = $6 480.00. I should point out that this is VERY DIFFICULT to do. A win like this can sometimes cause a slot addiction costing 10 times the win over a year or two.

no u don't have to have federal taxes taken out, file a G2 & u can deduct any losses that would equal the tax u would have to pay up to the amount u would owe, i.e if u owed $1000 on winnings but ur losses for that yr were $2000 u could only deduct the $1000 from ur total taxable income, not the total of gambling losses for the year..
