  • yo escucho a esta musica cuando estoy estudiando, lo ayudarme mucho!

  • I listen to this music when i'm writing essays, helps so so much!

  • The embers flair as if hell itself was being light as I take another drag. The smoke swirls, lingering, caressing me like that dame did last night, until she found out I was five short from being her nightly boyfriend. I lean on the window sill, as the crimson prison flicker around me. I guess the neons attract all cockroaches. The city wails as the sirens sing, and what a song she sings. I grabbed my Beretta as the knock on the door becomes angry. I guess it is my turn to dance to the tune..

  • Worth dyin' for. Worth killin' for. Worth goin' to hell for.

  • (cont.) And then all of a sudden, i saw it within my peripheral vision. It was a chair coming towards me. I turned my head and saw that the chair was tied to the front end of a bus.Why a chair was tied to the front of a bus, I'll never know. This city is just filled to the brim with unexpectedness. I thought to myself, "I really shouldn't be narrating film noir stories to myself while I'm walking and pay more attention." I collapse to the ground and the bus passes over me. I learned my lesson

  • It's 1 a.m as I leave the Applebee's and go off; where, i don't know. The Applebee's normally closes at 11 p.m, but I sat in a booth in the back and no one payed me any attention. I step out back on to the city streets. It's still busy, as always. Neon signs pass my gaze as my make way on to the next adventure. I'm always looking for adventure. If I don't, adventure finds me and asks me why i haven't called in awhile. Adventure is clingy that way, ya see.

  • The cheesiness of these comments is overwhelming, makes me uncomfortable.

  • Holy crap...Some of these people who write these comments. Absolutely awesome...I wish I had that talent.

  • Her eyes... I've never seen bluer.

  • I heard a screeching voice in the background. It was Lilith having another panic attack. I got my grip together and stared at the midnight gloom, whilst tightly grasping my colt which I firmly held in my coat pocket. Suddenly there was a gunshot and tires screeching. I knew I had to get away soon, but not until I told Lilith what I really felt for her.

  • This guy is ruthless, no doubt about it... But then again, these days they all are. I remember back when the scumbags still had some decency in them. A flickering hint of morality. But now it's just every man to himself, all that matters is reputation and cold, hard cash. And this guy wants them both, badly. And he won't stop until I stop him, that's for damn sure.

I exhale the cigar smoke and stare at the dim, sickly yellow streetlights. The rain shows no sign of stopping. My city, my queen..

  • Loving the film noir dialogues, guys. Keep 'em coming.

  • I torch my smoke and rock back and forth on my heels like a punching bag. Trying to ignore the fish stink of the warehouses but it ain't easy. But I got to work through this. I got lucky back in Fresno, but Windy City fuzz won't make amateur mistakes. So the thoughts pour out of my head like dirty water down the drain, and what it comes down to is this:

There's a killer out there… and all I can think about her. Lips the color of autumn leaves.

Remember Philly, I tell myself. Remember Philly.

  • The gunshot was like an exclamation point on the whole affair. the smoke licked at my face like a forgotten lover, the spent casing singing it's

lamentation as it clattered across the wet pavement. As Mr. Carlone's life ebbed away, I turned and walked back out of the light. What a night.

  • I'd say it's more like it's 5:14pm in Pasadena California, the sun setting over a spotless orangle and purple sky, with only the black silhouettes of swaying palm trees dotting the horizon

  • So fuckin Noir. I see Bogart walking through smokey streets.

  • A man was found to be killed by shot wounds. From the wounds I can tell it wasn't a direct kill. The victim most likely bled to death. It is obvious the killer was around 5 feet away, from the shots I can tell it was an experienced killer. The victim has been shot in such a way; it was a guaranteed kill in the end. From the footprints, the killer slowly walked away instead of running. Also no gun shots has been heard. The killer is calm and uses a silencer.

Gentlemen, we have a killer to catch

  • I want to fellate that saxophonist.

  • addicted

  • 3 people were found dead in a dirty little back-alley; they were stabbed in the back by Big Al's men. The whole City knew it was them, but noone did something. All of them were too afraid of Big Al. All, except one: Jeremiah Martins, the private detective. He wasn't afraid of Big Al and his killers. Still, he decided to keep his hands off the case this time, because he knew the victims: They were dislikers of this kind of music. If they come to town, its obvious that they would die...

  • Studying for exams... this music + the rainy mood is awesome for it.

  • Brushes baby!

  • Reminiscent of Goodbye Pork Pie Hat by Mingus. Amazing to hear a modern act capture that atmosphere and take it darker. Great tune!

  • dirrrty

  • If you like this check out Michał Lorenc - Andrzej from polish criminal series called "Glina". Great atmospheric stuff as well.

  • I found this in a thread that was about Twin Peaks styled, dark jazz music. This is exactly what I was looking for!

  • ha lynch is my all time favorite director but i dont really see that much of a connection. ok there were some noir themes in twin peaks both in the music and photography but thats really it.

  • Totalmente peakie!

  • she lay her head back, rested it on his shoulder as his hand moved slowly down her arm...together they swayed ever so slightly side to side and she eased back into him with her hips...

  • Damn good coffee!

  • Something about jazz :>

  • I love jazz.

  • Nice jazz song! So deep I could smoke a thousand cigarettes to it, if I were a smoker.

  • This is so angelo baldamenti !

  • @ahmed242 much better that that

  • @ahmed242 glad someone noticed!!

  • Nothing beats listening to Bohren's whole discography on a rainy night.

  • мне очень нравится

  • This is absolutely amazing. Why have I never heard of this group before? Am I so lame?!

  • Would be perfect for a David Lynch film!

  • I will be listening to this again and again!

  • that's the perfect description for this music...

  • iich mag die band...die neue platte "beileid" ist auch super....

  • this is my femme fatale theme music.

  • something went wrong..

  • something went wring..

  • this is that kinda batman, walking through the city music.

  • @SROnivera I love it when it's dark and raining/snowing outside as I'm listening to Bohren. It feels AND sounds so natural while Rainy Mood is more like a factory/artificial construction. Though real rainfall probably doesn't make the music sound better (at least that's what I am like) but it definitely compliments the atmosphere Bohren is trying to communicate through their notes. Rainymood just gets in the way of those beautiful notes.

  • @JBT24 the best thing about music isnt necessarily the richness in quality and catchy notes, i think its also the atmosphere it helps create

  • Nice music!

  • ...wunderschöner Titel. Assoziiere das mit einem Aufenthalt auf einer karibischen Insel. Getränk in der Hand, die Uhr zeigt "After Hour". Der Blick auf das Meer, oh Mann. Danke for sharing it!

  • Wow, thanks Chino for showing me this!

  • @djdamonexx CHINO MORENO.

  • @linkandzelda4eva

    That's exactly my case!

  • Waooo! No I know what you meant Chino!

  • @eddiedabriel Chino Moreno is the greatest

  • one of Chino Moreno's Favorites :)

  • johnson. the man id spent every night of the last 2 years looking for. im so close i can smell the musty cigarette odor residing on his trench coat. and it just so happens, this is the one night i left my .45 at home. i smoothly made my way towards his stool at the bar...

  • @spoochlove1 most suitable comment ever ^^

    Is that a quotation?

  • @SweetSaryna hahaha nah it just came to me

  • @spoochlove1ah johnson. what a character.. heard he can found at the same chicago bar at exactly 1 am every saturday night. steps out for light with his buddies every now and then...thats when i'd bring the .45

  • this is exactly what ive been looking for, for ages

  • I get chills every time I hear them. It's beautiful and creepy at the same time...

  • @shivkite770 oatmeal + babushkas + tennis

  • Cigarettes + Dark Coffee + Red Wine and Woman = Bohren & Der Club Of Gore

  • My favorite by the band.

  • For added effect to this kind of music, listen along with rainymood . com

That extra rain effect works well in this kind of music.

  • @solstrom92 you're right man. thanks alot :)

  • @solstrom92 - Thank you for this awesome suggestion. It really does work! :D

  • @solstrom92 I personally find rainy mood very adulterating. Although I know I'm extremely alone in that stance, so flame away. Bohren wrote this song without rain effect for a reason, and gave Dead End Angels rain for another reason.

  • @solstrom92

I'd rather sit out in the rain.

  • @solstrom92 best suggestion I've heard on YT. It creates the most amazing atmosphere

  • Mind blowing work of musical genius.

Finding more like this genre is hard though sadly.

  • What kind of jazz genre is this? I can't seem to find a definition for it besides me loving it.

  • @thisisnotjane dark jazz, doom jazz, film noir jazz

  • @godsizedhole Hah, doom jazz, thats like the coolest genre name I've ever heard. Haven't listened to this kind of music much before, but its pretty cool.

  • @thisisnotjane

    f film noir jazz

  • Oh man, the hooks are in deep. Like a drunken haze. This is perfect right down to the bloodied rose-tinted spectacles.

  • Genial.

  • Amazing! I reminds me of Angelo Badalamenti (David Lynch's favourite composer).

  • check out the kilimanjaro darkjazz ensemble if you like bohren

  • aka Mount Fuji DoomJazz Corporation. Great band, fantastic songs. Know of any others alike?

  • The description of this song just sums up the entire album, in my opinion. I imagine the sultry woman dressed in red, walking into the detectives office filled with smoke and bourbon. One of my all time favourite bands and album. Too, too, amazing. I always want to find a video to "Black City Skyline" (Track 8 on the album), but never can and I'm too technically inept to figure out how to do one of my own. Anyone volunteering?

  • In my search for "noir jazz", this tune is one of the few that fit the description. Biomisere, are you aware of any similar tunes/artists? Thanks!

  • I'm looking for this genre too! Bohren are just amazing but it's so difficult to find others...

I heard that The Necks are similar...

    Try and let me know!

  • Man this is just so fucking sick!

  • Absolutely fantastic! I get vertigo from gazing into the depth.

  • I know! This song makes me feel like I'm gazing into the depth, and it's gazing back at me.

  • I LOVE IT
