  • 3:20 the difference between the two :0)

  • This might be a silly question, but what is the best way to slice things? Do I really need to get an electric slicer to slice apples and to make jerky as I've seen in other people's videos? Thank you. I'm considering getting one of these.

  • Just use a sharp knife and a steady hand.

  • i have cheap dehydrator that i got a year ago. i have been using it to make jerky and dog treats for my german shepherd. i have been thinking of getting a better one so i can do more at one time . the one i have works pretty well but i have found that i can only do about 2 1/2 lbs of jerky at a time.

  • Does this model still come with the information booklet?

If so please contact me asap, im a looking. lol

  • These models still include the items as stated in the video.

  • oh my god, I think I've fallen in love with a food dehydrator

  • I Really enjoyed the video and the channel. Wanted to say hi and make friends.

  • Hi John!! Thank you so much for all your informative videos. I just purchased the Excalibur 3900 from your website. I could've bought it from Amazon, but I really want to support you and all the free informative videos you produce. It's my way of saying thank you for passing on the knowledge. Peace be with you :)

  • Thanks, I wanted to know the differences before ordering...

  • Very informative. However, I have some questions. For a family of 2 how many trays would be best? With the same feature and warranty as the 3900 model?

  • Depends on how much you want to dehydrate. If you have a garden, go with the largest size possible.

  • Ok. You sold me. Gonna go to your site and buy one.

  • do they only work by heating and blowing air? I kinda imagined they would dry the air too.

does anyone make a freeze dryer you can use at home, I wonder...

  • @imnotabear Ya, they dry the air inside the box and humidify the air outside the box. This is how food inside the box get dehydrated.

  • your awesome man! i love your page!

  • Im treating myself to one of these this month- can't wait! The first thing i'm trying is raw onion bread, yum.

  • I own a 4 tray excalibur dehyrdrator, I've had it for about a year and its the best I have ever owned. Anyone interested in raw foods or preserving foods of any kind you NEEd one of these, feel free to message me if you have any other questions.

  • thanks! i've been wanting one of these for a while and it's great to know the differences between models. it's time to pull out my piggy bank and start saving up! :P

  • Awesome, we are looking to replace our not so great dehydrator with one of these, this is just the video I was looking for =)
