  • i rode the 75 to wayne junction from arrott terminal then catch whatever train come first (R1,R2,R3,R5,R7 or R8) train ti center city because i don't like catching the EL that much always be too many problems.

  • on a double line heading east it would eventually pass under the Elevated at Erie-Torresdale station, continuing on Torredale northeast terminating at a loop at Cottman and Torresdale Aves. all Street car service to Northeast has been terminated, the last to go bye-bye was the Rt. 56 on Erie-Torredale, the tracks were officially covered over in 2004.

  • They removed the two remaining trackless routes in South Philly, we do not know if they are coming back, route 29 Tasker-Morris streets and the double line on Snyder Ave, route 79 they both worked out of Southern car house, I doubt they will return. Yet, they wasted money by installing these new cars on Wyoming avenue up in that shit hole neighborhood!

  • looks like a nice place to live lol

  • Was this area ever serviced by trolley?

  • I don't know about the 75 but I do know that at one time the 59 and the 66 were served by the old 5200-series double-end trolleys.

  • The Rt. 50 which ran from South Philly up 5th. street then on to Rising sun avenue crossed the Rousevelt Blvd. and teminated at a loop in Lawncrest. Rt. 66 ran from Fkfd. Terminal to a loop at city line Rd. on the Bucks-Philly border. The old Rt. 3 trolley winded it's way from South Philly and ran under the Elevated, teminating at Fkfrd Term. Rt. 56 ran from Nicetown in North Philly 22nd. and Venango along Erie, it crossed Rt. 23 in G-town and Broad in North Philly proceeding on Erie ave-

  • the 75 ran the same thing as you mention the 59 and 66.

  • Saw some of these sitting in Frankford Transit Center's garage once. Cool 2 def!

  • :27-:33--Was that intentional? Talk about the icing on the cake!!!

  • Is there more than oneroute (the 66) that has 'em? Tell me there is!!

  • yeah i rode the E40LFR but only on 66 to city line

  • it got a quiet smooth ride...i love em

  • I rode on it.

It's quieter than its "cousin" D40LF's

Yet the interior and seating resembles the 2003-07 d40lfs and the de40lfs (fleet #"s 5713-5953(?))

  • You forgot the R after E40LF ;). Nice video, everybody who posts one is making me really jealous. This summer I need to ride one.

  • my bad ill edit it but yeah it got a smooth ride to it and its quiet
