Yea, but he only wrote the skeleton structures for songs. Everyone else in the band would build off the structure he layed down. You ever hear his solo stuff? Kind of boring, not bad though
I remember this concert at Tampa Stadium one of the first bands ever to to use closed circuit TV in a large venue TullAvision with roving camera men shooting footage. Cutting Edge stuff for its era. Thanks for the VID Good Memories, but kind of Hazy due to the hooch in the air. It looked like an atomic cloud over the stadium. Fortunately Outgrown those good ole days.
Edgar and Johnny Winter were supposed to open this show, but Johnny was a no-show due to laryngitis. I was there and opted to get my money back when Johnny cancelled, My friend and I were there to see him, and we didn't have enough money for gas for my bike to get back to Ft. Lauderdale. Does anyone remember who played after Edgar, I thought it was Loggins and Messina.
I was at tampa stadium, most memorable concert of tull ive seen I'd love to find the second half of this concert video or audio , it took me thirty years to find these vids im so glad some one found this vid and posted it thank you kind sir, bravo any body have west palm beach 1972??? or pirates world show???
it sounds several times better on vinyl, maybe with a few crakling noises and slightly varying pitch due to fucking wasted player.... :) love it

I didn't realize until recently that Ian Anderson wrote most (all) of Tull's songs.

What a sound! Ian Anderson was the pioneer for rock flute.Without him rock music would have been one hell of a lot poorer.

FEBINFO: THE NAME "JETHRO TULL" IS AN ACTUAL PERSON, HE WAS AN ENGLISH INVENTOR OF THE WOODED SCREW, I BELIEVE LATE 1700'S (?)
fokker313 8 months ago
@fokker313 wasn't the original Jethro Tull the inventor of a machine that spread seeds, or sowed seeds? Not sure, but that's what I recall.
