Pay as you go phones are a;; crap and no body cares about them, people go on payg becasue either they are complete scumbags and can't pass the credit check for a contaract or they don't work and can't afford to go on contract, they all have 3 kids and are single, or they smell or they are over the age of 65 and haven't got a clue how to use it !

@pjasnos Well the thing is if these students are intelligent they would opt for a sim only or low contract deal as you get far more value for money on a contract or sim only deal. The truth is the big networks don't care about payg customers becasue they are full of problems like " i can't get the internet on my lg cookie, becasue i unlocked it and i am a tramp" or " I just put £10 pound on and its all gone" this is why we have indian call centres to divert payg scum !

@itzclutch100 Weeelll... it depends really - if they spend less than £10 per month (which is 125 minutes at 8p/min or 85 mins & 80 texts at 4p/text in ASDA/Tesco/GiffGaff) then it will be pretty hard to find a sim only contract. If they spend more than 10 quid a month, contract is obviously better value.

@pjasnos This is correct but isn't this topic about the orange vegas you can't use this phone on asda/tesco or giffgaff, the handsets are pretty limited as they have to be open to use on the asda network. realistically most people won't go on the supermarket networks becasue of the poor coverage and customer service, so we are probably looking more like 20p per minute and 10p a text message, wvwn orange now do a £5 a month contract which is great value giving 50 mins and 50 txts !
