But you have to understand it is really hard to be defensive about this genre of music because people seem to think that it requires no effort to play and stick that opinion even with a lot of evidence. Now from experience, how hard was it to build speed and accuracy while learning this genre. @OGTheDemon As far as extreme drumming goes, Pete Sandoval of Morbid Angel had sick groove and great speed and unique drum parts. He basically had the blueprints for Death Metal drumming. His work on Altars Of Madness is mind blowing. Thrash Metal wise, Gar Samuelson (RIP) from Megadeth had a very unique style because he came from years of playing in jazz-fusion.
