For my instrument rating, I got 3 sets of videos: King, Sporty's and Jeppesen. I used all 3 extensively, to the point where I could probably recite the script for all 3 sets of videos from memory. Then I got to the point where I found myself merely watching the videos comparatively. Sporty's & Jeppesen were definitely solid, but if you want to own the exam, neither one comes close to King.
The key factor on the King set is that virtually every syllable out of their mouths is an exam solution.

I bet it's nice knowing how to fly. I would learn how to fly but I have cerebral palsy. Anybody that has cerebral palsy is always automatically banned from learning how to fly by the FAA.
@sampleguy2009 Have you looked into piloting a balloon? Many folks who have various physical limitations can still pilot, or co-pilot a hot air balloon.
Although there is no steering comparable to a plane, I hear that balloonists are always greeted by throngs of naked Tahitian dancing girls, whenever they land.
@sampleguy2009 actually you could fly ..just never be lic. or pilot in comand...having a lic. pilit next to you while you were at the controlls of a plane would not lessen the experience
@bigboyjack21 whenever you feel you're capable of starting... no minimum age for flying, BUT you've got to be 16 to go solo and 17 for the privates pilot licence.
the dude sounds slightly like casey kasem

The Kings are the best at this. If you are in doubt, you can't go wrong with these courses.

Hmmmm maybe we should put these wonderful folks in charge of the Department of Education.

@jbryant13 Yes, the auto insurance companies would love getting the kids off the roads and into the skies.

Do you need any education requirements to get a private pilots license?
benboz 2 years ago
You need a minimum of 40hrs of flight time, plus you must pass a written and a practical test.
smithmax13 2 years ago
If you mean i.e. highschool diploma: the answer is no. Just be 17 and able to pass the written test.
