@mastergamer2011 It does make sense. You set Joe on Fire to nullify Fire Leo's flames. Fire Leo himself is not subject to any damage modification when Joe is on fire.

There are 3 stages in your attack run.

1. Set Joe on fire, this is achieved by using Mach Speed Punch/Kick against the flaming rocks which fall to the ground.

2. Break Leo's shield. Attack him as he blocks. In this video I use Zoom + (hold) Punch.

3. Dodge all of Leo's marked attacks and he will become dizzy. This is your chance to deal damage - I once again use Zoom + (hold) Punch.

you know u didn't have to use slow mo so often against him when he spins? if you only use slow mo when you see the skull, it gives you a major vfx regain instead of using it up so fast, and youill be able to land a better hit combo

@Xunmatio The VFX bar is increasing during the dodging sequence. You always end up with more than enough VFX to land the maximum number of hits Leo allows before he begins his next attack phase. I am aware that you can dodge the marked attack sequence without Slow, but that is not the point of this video.

How are you able to do punch combos in zoom, I can only ever just do single punches one at a time?

@Tiamoko Just hold the Punch button while Zoomed, the combo strikes are automatic. Holding either the Punch or Kick button also works in all situations during Mach Speed too, the Voomerang or Shocking Pink will not override.

while hes doing the spin i used the drop zoom from the air then slow zommed uppercut him (zoom down punch) until he hit me but in slow joe dodges and then he does viewtiful forever then my vfx runs out then i jump away then toward him then avobe him i turn to vj then repeat

@tapion567 I got confused by that one as well. Zoom in and hold down the punch button, and he does the combo. Annoying cos if you want to do the endless spinning kick combo, which looks like the sort of thing you would hold down the kick button for, you have to continually tap.

It's funny how Leo's theme becomes more epic when you only have 2 hearts left and he's down to yellow on his health bar and your barely dodging his attacks by luck from zooming and slowing down too many times. and it took me like 30 minutes to remember how to fight this guy and beat him. I remember beating Fire Leo on ultra V rated. Holy fuck, when he was spinning it was almost impossible to tell where he was going to hit (you had to tell by his growls). It was however, the most frustrating yet satisfying thing in the world.

I beat leo in under one minutes using dante there's this well i guess you could call it a glitch when leo gets dizzy use mach speed until you do stinger slow down and you should do multiple hits and take away one to two bars of life this also works against the shark I may put up a video showing it. i found out on accident

This is Adults Mode (Normal) - I always buy Sliding first, then the Turbo Charger and then stock up with Hearts a little later.

It's just Adult Mode. The VFX bar decreases at a faster rate during Zoom (on top of the drain caused by Slow).

It's x3 rate in total (I think)

Lo que Saur dice es que uses mach speed en las rocas que tira fire leo, cuando joe esta rodeado de fuego, acercate a leo y golpealo usando zoom, cuando rompas el escudo de leo el empezara a grar. Aqui esquiva 5 ataques consecutivos y se va marear, aqui es donde lo golpeas usando slow + zoom y dejando aplastado el boton de golpe.

Usa esa estrategia y lo vas a matar facil.

I have NEVER managed to do that Red Hand One Hundred! He just keeps doing one punch at a time... Isn't it just Zoom + Punch? Also, I don't have the Kid/Adult modes, it's just Eeasy/Normal. Very strange.

The punch you're looking for is Zoom + (HOLD) Punch. If you repeatedly tap the punch button Joe will just keep repeating the first punch of the sequence.

Without the Turbo Charger equipped if you use this method to fight Leo; I suggest slowing down the tempo of the L-button presses and conserve your VFX.

The aim is to have enough VFX remaining to damage him after you've dodged his attack sequence. As was kindly posted here by another player; the Zoomed Red Hot Kick "Dragon Kick" will also do decent damage to Leo, it may help to keep that in mind if you need to quickly attack with minimal VFX.

Another tip for people who can't beat him:

Once you dodge his spinning attacks and he's stunned, face away from him and toss a Voomerang. Then turn back around and RHOH (Slow-zoomed punch) him. While you're punching him, the Voomerang should come back around and hit him, doing tons of damage.

What If your playing as Captain blue? Like I Am. How can you tell where he can attack; because you don't get the "Attack Skull's" to tell you where he strikes?

You need to listen to the tone of his growls, watch the vid from 2:17 onwards and listen carefully. You notice how the growl for "high" and "low" are different?

It's tricky isn't it? Without indicators it's the tone of his roar you need to listen out for when he spins, a low-tone indicates a low attack and a high-tone a high attack.

the easiest way to do the best damage to leo is when he is spinning jump and slowzoom punch in the air none of his attacks will hit you and you can give 2 two bars of damage
