Hey everyone I have been searching for a christian/gospel song that I can't seem to find anywhere. The song I believe is called "Anthem." Some of the lyrics are, "we are called we are chosen..." I can't remember all of the words. I thought Amy Grant sang it but I couldn't find it. If anyone knows the song or who sings it please let me know.
@Anheuser66 - In regards to "Anthem" -- This was written by Tom Conry back in the late 1970's. It was once published in the "Glory and Praise" hymnals from North American Liturgy Resources (NALR). They are no longer in existence, but the recordings and sheet music is available through Oregon Catholic Press. Here is a direct link to a page at OCP.org that features info on Tom Conry and his music (incuding anthem MP3, sheet music, etc.: ocp.org/artists/185#tab:compositions
Everyone at my church loves this song but I usually do it in G (that way it only goes up to the high D) but I've had to do it in F for a few alto cantors. Wayyy to screechy sounding in A.
its true we are called... because were Christians

One of my favorites. We use this as the recessional hymn for confirmation mass.

Are you talking about because it goes from an A to a High E at the beginning?
I'm scared to introduce this into my church because usually cantors can't sing a high E.
