Cheapest is a change in the mind-set of the Islamists in Gaza. Their charter preaching the destruction of Gaza is ridiculous, their home-made Kassams are ridiculous, their hatred of Jews is ridiculous. What is even more ridiculous is the political support they get from a dangerously naive World Opinion. Sorry to say, that not even diminishing their numbers, although easily done, would help. Gaza is lost to the world by its own fault!

The Phalnax system is as useful against rockets as the Patriot is... i.e. not at all. It is a gun designed against low flying slower targets such as airplanes. Saying the Phalnax wil stop the rockets is like saying car beaks will prevent accidents. Unfortunately all cars have brakes and still we have accidents.

If I have an alarm system in my house, does this mean the bergler should not be punished? Food for thought on wehther or not ISR should respond to the rockets...

Thanks for giving a look. You seem to be confusing the Phalanx with the derivate C-RAM Phalanx that is the one mentioned in the video. Furthermore, there are the Iron Fist, Trophy and others also suitable, able and ready.

Your information about Phalanx seems to come from published (possible Net) material, perhaps military interest, but certainly not from inside knowledge of the system. What is mentioned in the video comes from inside knowledge and can be recognized by specialists.

A breaking news vid. This should most surely upset Israelis (at least Southern) and Gazans equally. Spread it please, this should reach the news, I wonder how they (Israeli government officials) will explain this. Surely enough they will find a way or two but just by releasing this vid to as many people and media as possible, important questions will need to be answered I believe.

That is absolutly true and the fact is, that it would spare many many lives on both sides and i would even be lot cheaper. This really brings up some awkward questions about this full scale war operation.
