It would kinda be impractical to have a massive heavy command cruise flying around all the time. It would be better for fighters to take off from a carrier. Not to mention the amount of refuels the big boy would need to stay in the air. Not to mention it would need more support than a few ESM support cruisers, and a squadron of fighters. I'm guessing it would need full land, air, and sea support to function properly.

Then why the fuck are you watching this? I've played lock on. It SUCKED! Ever take the "Which planes are real" quiz on the official site? Took me 3 tries to get it right, and I'm an aviation nut! And, you bring up realism? The only non-realism is fuel and ammo, which are essential to making a game fun! Would you like to lose if you don't land every few minutes to refuel and be stuck with a gun because you only have a few missles? And, I think gameplay in this is better. My opinion, but...
You can refuel in the air...you just call a tanker and refuel. And you dont have enaugh missles to finish mission, plus you have wingman witch you command and he can help you too.
What's the reality of calling in a billion-dollar tanker to a battlefield, refueling with people shooting, and getting out alive? My Grandpa was in the navy, he knows these things. Also, in every single Ace Combat, you have a wingman. In fact, in most of them you're a squadron commander. He helps, but the main goal of a wingman is to shoot down enemies that try to get behind you. Honestly, I like the arcade styling better. I'd never play a game with the realism of carrying a total of 8 missles.

Yes! More missions, more aces, more.... EVERYTHING THAT MADE 5 AND ZERO GREAT! I like the 360 controls; They give me a feeling of precise control, the flight stick on the left. And the missle switch and map toggle can be reversed, so your combat controls are all on the Letter Diamond. More like a real fighter.
Word, it would be wicked if Project Aces would come up with a 30-hour Ace Combat game, with mission branches and some really sick missions like...a stratospheric vertical dive after a huge ballistic missile or asteroid, or tunnel run with the vehicles driving below you and reacting to your aircraft above.
That'd be a mix of AC6 and Zero... Wait, are you mocking me?! If not, 6 had 4 tunnel runs in one mission, and vehicles did what they could to react. (Ie: AA Guns turn to face you, instead of other targets, Tanks run at their slow 30mph pace...) ASTEROID CHASE! Be like some mission to try to affect Ulysses 1994... The Ballistic missle would be suicide, as the explosion of missle impact would set off the internal explosive, forcing the urnanium together, and BOOM!
But the tunnel run would be more like chasing an ace through a oversized highway tunnel and low through a city with window shattering effects...like that amazing duel in Macross Plus between Isamu and Guld!
Now you bring Macross into it? Just kidding. Thing about Macross is they have the ability to transform. Even if they don't do it, they can. Chasing a piece of Ulysses down from EXTREMELY high altitude at EXTREMELY high speed, so fast that moving too much rips the fuselage, ending your game, to destroy it would be awesome, especially if you end up dying in a valiant effort to save your nation, leaving behind your (Preganant is a plus) female wingman to mourn.

this mission wasnt really that hard...if u got a f-22 raptor use that cuz its got missles that can fire up to 6 targets, and if u use ur allied attack thing then thatll help alot too

Now that I've thought it over, how could you control things like arrestor hooks, flaps, ECMs, flares, chaffs, and all the other miscellaneous things real fighter jets are capable of without an actual keyboard in front of you? There aren't enough buttons on console controllers!
flaps lower automatically when thrust is reduced, ECM and Flares are not used, and arrestor hooks lower automatically when your gear is lowered. flight sims do exist for the PC and still have a strong following. try Lock On: Modern Air Combat, IL-2:1946, Falcon 4.0 or MCFS3.
If you checked my profile, you'll find I live in Canada, which has next to no air force right now.
Furthermore, I've got an allergy to g-forces, even ones as sedate on rollercoaster rides. You can't fight if you vomit through your breathing mask through every dive, immelmann turn, or loop-the-loop.
This game is not a simulator. Over G fighter's is a simulator if you put it on hard mode, there are cross winds, and such, and depending on the aircraft you don't get many missiles. Once you launch them, they drop off your plane, and don't come back to put it plainly.

It's not easy, but I'd say AC6 was the most boring of all of the ACs. Only 15 missions, all the same experience as the last 7 or 8 games...

I miss the old realistic flight sims. Having no stalls and infinite missiles just doesn't do it for me anymore.

This was never supposed to be a flight sim. Also, there are stalls and finite missiles, even if you get 200. xD

Now that I've thought it over, how could you control things like arrestor hooks, flaps, ECMs, flares, chaffs, and all the other miscellaneous things real fighter jets are capable of without an actual keyboard in front of you? There aren't enough buttons on console controllers!
To bad flight sims for PCs are virtually dead.

flaps lower automatically when thrust is reduced, ECM and Flares are not used, and arrestor hooks lower automatically when your gear is lowered. flight sims do exist for the PC and still have a strong following. try Lock On: Modern Air Combat, IL-2:1946, Falcon 4.0 or MCFS3.

If you checked my profile, you'll find I live in Canada, which has next to no air force right now.
Furthermore, I've got an allergy to g-forces, even ones as sedate on rollercoaster rides. You can't fight if you vomit through your breathing mask through every dive, immelmann turn, or loop-the-loop.

This game is not a simulator. Over G fighter's is a simulator if you put it on hard mode, there are cross winds, and such, and depending on the aircraft you don't get many missiles. Once you launch them, they drop off your plane, and don't come back to put it plainly.
