Hey so whomever posts these videos of past ironman competitions in Hawaii should post the 2009 ironman....it sounds like it would have been sweet to watch!! The top 4 only separated eachother by like 2 min each. But it would be awesome to see the 2009 one.

If i was anywhere near finish when cutoff hits I would still finish just to say I did...but how far from finish line would you have to be just to quit? I think if i were anywhere on the run i would continue.

@njolly99 I agree with you, but some of the elder classes are still open to just signing up(60+ iirc). Or one has to qualify by just completing an IM somewhere else to secure the spot as there are rarely that many athletes in those age categorys. So that 67yr old guy probably "just" needed to finish a minor IM in 13-14hrs or so.
