Lots of guys like to "tear down" someone's build and may forget the excitement of having a big ass system.

As far as your system... well, I didn't see any EXTRA batteries (and not a cap) powering your amp. That single Orion 15 can handle nearly double it's 2000w rms rating. And from the voltage reading on your cap, it didn't look like you had enough power to SUFFICIENTLY feed your amp.

I have a pair of HCCA 10.4's and it's suggested to use 8 gauge wire for your subs. The bigger the better.

So you do advise me to get an amp for each sub right instead of one to power both? I was told that its sounds better if you get each sub its own amp.

@brittany937 not really... its just that people (like myself lol) try to get a really good sub and bargain price off brand amps. i actually got a good deal since kole audio makes some pretty decent amp (had mine for about a year no problems)

but if your going to get two orion subs i would get two amps.. it wont sound better but it will be alot easier and more variety getting two amps running at 2000w then one at 4000w rms

@albanymillboy different people = different amps, but you can find one like mine for about 270 now,.... you will not find a better price then that for the actual watts it puts out.... im talkin about the kole audio traxxx 7000 also.... it says 4100rms at 1 ohm but it puts out about 3000

I could be completely wrong, but why dont you bridge your sub? you'll get twice the power from you're amps, if they can handle it...

hey, would you recommend that kole trax1-7000d? i have a audioque hdc3 15" aluminum coil dual 1 ohm sub and i saw that i can get that amp brand new shipped to my house for $330 on ebay, and i would wire it at 2 ohm for 3200w rms, let me know if thats a decent amp or not, thanks!

@MrFatman212 the amp is good, also id say it would throw 2200w rms to the sub. also my amp doesnt get hot running at 1ohm, so i dont see it heatin up on you... sounds good, the amp is the best out of three ive had(power acoustic, hifonics) both were more expensive and performed worse and heated up bad

Was you car off? Your voltage dropped to 6v that's really bad for your amps, makes them work harder. Nice set up tho. I have a mechman 250 amp alt and a cadence zrs-8000d powering 15.4 Orion.

i took out an amp since i got a dvd player because it pushed my amp harder and two was just a hassle with something bad waiting to happen

and your speaker wire needs to be about 4 times thicker there guy... to carry all that current your feedin your 15

say that looks good and all and sounds allright but i promise you that using two DIFFERENT amps on each voice coil of your sub is a very bad idea.. so i f you paid good money for those things (doubt it) i suggest you run one amp to the whole thing or get two of the same amp...if you want it to last and sound better that is ..if not then keep on keepin on holmes
