  • Wow, bagpipes do prove a lullaby in walking! Lungs at their best! Blow, blow, blow, for your sake, and everyone else's at that! Love it! Blow one for me! :D

  • I love the bagpipes I don't understand why people hate them like at all

  • i have aways loved the sound bagpipe but every ine hates but they don't know the true beauty of bagpipes.

  • The bagpipes are arguably the most strong and beautiful instrument in the world.

  • Who plays this version of the Gael?

  • @Mallemaster I think it's the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards' version

  • holy shit bagpipes give me chills <3

  • When played right, bagpipes are extremely beautiful. When played wrong, AKA the way media portrays bagpipes, they are extremely annoying. Surprisingly, I was shown the beauty of bagpipes when one of my classmates played his after my communication class in college.

  • If there's a drop of celtic blood in you, this'll make you tear up a weeie bit

  • I fully understand how the warriors could follow the bagpipes to war.

  • Love this song, and love the bagpipes, and love my Scottish heritage.

  • We're a very big country inspired band, we're from england, but we love this sort of stuff.

Might have a stage intro like this :)

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOO Because the GEMA (I live in Germany) I can't hear the other parts. Why god hates me?? :(

  • @SWCaptainREX You can go to Google, search for "proxy server", and come back to YouTube through one of the proxy pages there. Those pages hide your true IP address, so you can access again the parts which you wish to listen to. Hope this helps!

  • @SWCaptainREX

    Well,a non-existent being can't hate you.

  • @siddharthjoshi91

    oh shut up.

  • Some of my ancestors where irish...maybe thats the reason I LOVE bagpipes :D My irish blood, and if there is only a little little bit of it makes me proud :)

  • @SWCaptainREX Bagpipes are scottish, Uilleann pipes are irish, they sound kinda the same but u can tell the diffrence

  • Gets my blood boiling, FREEEEEEDDDDDOOOOOOMMMM!

  • 37 people are from England.

  • total redneck here, but I wear the kilt and love the bagpipes. I will learn as soon as I can afford it. i want to so bad

  • @devchev78 you can get a bagpipe practise chanter for £30 $50

  • @StrathendrickPiper yeah, I've actually got my eye on a nice full size one for about $100

  • @devchev78 Why does that make you a redneck. Scottland has nothing to do with the southern country folk.

  • @CaptinMcAwsome i'm a hard core american haha. just me being silly i guess. i'm not from the south, actually I'm a north westerner. but believe it or not, rednecks cover the whole country. haha

  • @CaptinMcAwsome all of my ancestory is primarily scottish and english.

  • @CaptinMcAwsome Actually it does. The Scots and Irish brought their traditional music with them, especially to Appalachia-Kentucky, Virginia, W. Virginia and it spread around the South first.

  • 37 people are Americans

  • @77tbrewer Wow. I'm certainly no American, but that's a little ignorant there.

  • @Iblis478 That's all I needed...thank you! I have seen that very same comment sky rocket to "Top Comments" and have no clue why. So, change the Genre and the effect changes too. Sorry, I am American who is stuck working late and have two monitors lol

  • Absolutely REDNECK, & I adore the Bagpipes!!

  • The Movie Braveheart should be a religion for everyone. I mean the fight against the system.

  • I don't know why a lot of people find the bagpipe annoying,I think It is beautiful..Maybe whenever they hear it they picture an old fat man in kilts lol..

  • @mpa324 I completely agree...maybe they don't have the aptitude or tolerance for music from overseas, but this is where our origins lie. Our ancestors made this music to put a fire in our hearts and souls. Same goes for all medieval music...at least I think so.

  • @AKAZEKAGE20 yeah maybe..I'm not even a Scot or white for that matter and I love it..I love all foreign music..

  • @mpa324 It just takes a great love of sound and harmony to appreciate these wonderful instruments.

  • @mpa324 no, its because thy're used to listening to bulshitt weak pop music, while bagpipes are nothing but power.

  • this was amazing at first... then the drums and bass came in at 1:59... it became the music gods listen to

  • sounds amazing

  • Favourite music when im drunk or high =)

  • WOOOOOOO! SCOTLAAAAND!!!

  • Nothing can beat the sound of the bagpipes!

  • I wasn't born Scottish but I am a descendant of a long and proud line of a famous Scottish family and I will always love the sound of bagpipes.

  • No other instrument sounds as fine as the Scottish instrument of bagpipes here.

  • @segano1 agreed

  • I have been there and i'm proud that i visited Dunnottar castle!

  • Bagpipes is in the top 5 relaxing instruments for me. I laugh at those who can't stand the bagpipes

  • @minotar85 perfectly tuned, bagpipes sound amazing

  • Bagpipe music is so rich and layered, how do you not appreciate it's beauty? Something about a melancholy monotone under it all is just so satisfying.

  • @Crackmyskye i wish there were more people like you

  • Some people don't like bagpipes ..and some are sooo irritated by its sound...but MEN!! BagPipes for me is a Sound that makes me Relax and gave me a lot of GOOSEBUMPS ZD

  • 37 persons really don't understand a shit about real music... man i'm really sorry 4 u

  • de la bonne zique on et mons et mon pas ceux q'il veul que lon soi

  • shiver and goosebumps :) this makes me fill with pride

  • If god played an instrument it would be the bagpipes, because they produce the most beautiful sound

  • @Ruff4G63Tforlife bagpipes are too beautiful for something as ugly as a god.

  • I've heard that bagpipes are one of the hardest instruments to play, because you have to keep up a perfectly steady stream of air and squeezing- only after that can you even bother with the tune!! They sound so unique though!

  • @PriestessKikyo1 they are not as hard as you would think.once you master the wind your half way there. its remembering every piece of music perfectly thats the harderst part

  • Oh it moves me so.

  • How can anyone not like this .... this music touches the soul in more ways than one.

  • What's the name of the first part?

  • @Lenny66692 Gaul Theme from Last of Mohicans

  • I HATED the drums...

  • @anhelodetualiento I agree.. I don't think it goes along with the music.. kinda throws it off if I am saying it right..

  • So few are able to see the true beauty of bagpipes how they can't see it I'm not sure I am part Scottish and i live for the soothing sounds of the bagpipes they reveal such an emotion far beyond anything I can explain...

  • @booboobitxch666 Its a very powerful and honorable instrument and if a person bends a knee in respect for it they will see its true majesty

  • please dont let bagpipes die

  • @kirbalot1310 i wont

  • @kirbalot1310

The bagpipes actually make me cry whenever I hear them....I'm so frickin emotional! LOL!

  • @kirbalot1310 No worries there, they have been around for centuries and will be around for centuries to come. Elaine from the Clan Douglas.

  • @mrklawonn I know a lot of people, though I admit they are part of a school group I went with toe Scotland

  • @mrklawonn You may very well be a fellow Scot, as am I, from the Clan Douglas. My Grandma & Grandad played the pipes music when I was a kid and I still get chills upon hearing them. Good on you!

  • I want to go scotland!

  • Your name is Campbell & your Scottish are NOT a good combo, son. Read up on your history!! Sorry about the bad news!!

  • @bigtool66 I am a campbell i have read the history. The only clans that hate us are Mcdonald and Macgregor. But those are old clan rivalries. I think we can forget past history and work together to forge an independant scotland. Wether you are a campbell a McDonald or any other clan i think we would all agree we love scotland. Alba Gu Brath

  • @DrinkToIreland I'm both a Campbell and a Macdonald , so I guess at some point the rivalry was overcome.... It's pretty remarkable considering events like the Massacre of Glencoe, which I was taught about when I was very young.

  • @xoeurowillowxo i know. Well i am a Campbell and a Farquharson and davidson. Clans davidson and farquharson fought on the side of the jacobites at the '45 and the Campbells (mainly) fought for the government. Family is a crazy thing mate :)

  • @ThePerniciousTruth Con't..It was hi-jacked by Irish republicans to distance themselves away from Britishness by trying to promote it as an ethnic term too as well as a linguistic term in the early 1900's at the height of Irish republicanism aided by Irish myth makers such as W.H Grattan Flood and Henry Sarks, who's works have since been de-bunked.

Thanks to the seminal works of Simon James (1999) and Brian Sykes (2006), it can now be understood for the Victorian romantic idiocy that it is.

  • @ThePerniciousTruth 'Gael' is not an ethnic term, it is a linguistic term, that means that regardless of what country they were from, if they spoke 'Gaelic' they were called 'Gaels', many Scottish (Caledonian Picts) supported the language as it was in script and already intertwined with religion.

The term "Celtic" was created in 1707 by the English linguist Edward Lhuyd who used it only to group old British languages and parts of the continental Europe, it was later hi-jacked in the 1900's.

  •

  • @SuperKingabs What does Ireland have to do with Scotland? Nothing!

Stop linking us as the same, we are completely different and different countries.

  • @ThePerniciousTruth Celtic is a made up 1800's term,

The Scots have nothing to do with Ireland.

    the Scots are Caledonian Picts.

And Scotland is free, they were never conquered, they just haven't voted for independence yet.

  • 4:15 i've bin there and just standing in the cliff, an old ruin behind me and a vast sea before me it gave me (and even thinking about it gives me) a feeling i can't describe...it was just amazing i put the ''Gaul Theme from Last of Mohicans'' on and i just stood there chilles it gave me and still does. amazing things Scotland, bagpipes and Highland drums.

  • I love celtic bagpipe, is a sound that seems to come from another dimension, I touch my soul delights. Thanks for sharing these very special moment for me. tHANKS SO MUCH, Marta

  • @marta3t6fox2 There is no such thing as a Celtic bagpipe.

Celtic is a made up term.

And the bagpipes are used in Scotland as a national instrument with it's own classical Scottish originated music.

  • One cannot hate the bagpipes. They sound so great when in unison

  • Belíssimo este vídeo contendo estas melodias!

  • love this!!!!! from méxico :)

  • Bagpipes = Voice of Scotland!

  • I've always loved this music! Others hate it. Why?! THIS IS AMAZING!!!

  • what is the name of the first track in the song :D ? love the rythm of it :D !

  • @FOiL6 sounds a lot like the ending battle theme to last of the mohicans. or perhaps that sounds like this?

  • @Arcexey you know, right under the video there's a little section about the video that the OP puts there. it says ***Songs Used*** kinda strange how the last of the mohicans song and the first song in the video sound the same. maybe it's because this is a cover of the song from last of the mohicans

  • @skyzthelimit08 BINGO!

  • when played properly, bag pipes to me are truly the best sounding group
