  • Actually it is interesting and a little difficult to talk about PEOPLE AND NATIONS when listening to this song. Cause this song takes you a place there isnt any religional and national differences. I ve seen him. He has a nice voice too. Since 10 years I am addicted to his songs. As a result I ve seen that there isnt national and religional differences in life. They all same. we just have different cultures and mistakes in life thats all.

  • Just One Word. Fabulous...

  • @barisms. Turkish people are indeed very resilient. The fact that they encapsulate so much of the east and west is their strength. This is what makes them Turkish. An interesting point you made that "to Turks in Asia we are not Turk enough." I am Uzbek and I have a great respect for kardashlarim,Turkish people, and do not think that they are not Turk enough. The Central Asians look up to Turkey and respect the fact that Turkey has synergized Middle Eastern, European and Central Asian qualities.

  • Literally, this piece of music is spiritual

  • This is magicly beautiful.

    thanks for posting!

  • Allahu Akbar!..

  • Music is the universal language. We all forget what is the language of love...

  • 14 people has got shit in their ears....

  • The influence in music art,has no border's.It grows throe the observing of the self and the relation to nature.Omar Faruk Tekbilek,is an artist of the earth,he study a lot of different music, from all over the world, and this is how has,an artist to be.First,is human, with sensitive's ears, and spirit and then creator. He listen in,he's inner voice and translate it into note's and word's.I can tell,he is more a spiritual translator, then an ordinary musician. This is how i felt, when i have meet him.

  • Mükemmel tek kelime ile. Emeğinize yüreğinize sesinize ellerinize sağlık..

  • murat baskam seni seviyorum

  • Wow, that was great, I wasn't aware Turkish music was so beautiful

  • @Adamboms no one from western world knows that...only that they see in their eyes is that we are bastard that has no culture

  • @12081985

western views on the middle east aren't as harsh as you would think, there are a few people who are very ignorant, but the silent majority sees you as equals, there is a flute player in an English Psychedelic rock band named John Egan that listed Omar Tekbilek as an influence which is actually how I came across this, so it really isn't as bad as you would think.

  • @Adamboms the thing is... turks and türkiye are not exactly middle east. let's say not "only" middle east. the traces of every land we passed, every culture we met are still in us. middle east, eurasia, the balkans, near east, not to mention, central asia and anatolia. until the "westerners" come to realise that - until they find out what to look for, i don't think there's much to discuss about how they see us. of course, we as turks should come to that realisation as well.

  • @barisms Interesting point, we do still have ways to go, but still slowly things are getting better, best way to break these barriers, music, I don't know much, but I do know that any culture that is able to produce a musician this good is a respectable culture in my book

  • @Adamboms fair enough ) just pointing out that sure, turks are turks but also very adaptable people. we have ways to go as well - first of all concerning matters about our own identity. if we let other people tell us who we are.. well, to westerners we're not european/modern enough, to, say, arabs we're not middle eastern/muslim enough and yes, to turks in asia, we're not "turkic" enough.fortunately for us, we're all of that but also different. so those categories, labels will never work.

  • @barisms Could not explain it better :)

  • @12081985 don't listen to them, racist bastards! I' m from Greece and i love Turkish music. I like your cvilization and i would like to explore it more. kisses arkadas

  • @0091thess thank u !!!

  • @0091thess love and kisses fr Turkey arkadas:)

  • @0091thess How beautiful heart you have. Thanks to you. One of Big father of Turks says this.

“Come, come whatever you are, it doesn’t matter

Whether you are an infidel, an idoleter or a fire-worshiper

Come, our convent is not a place of despair

Come, even if you violated your swear

    A hundred times, come again.”

    Mevlana

  • @ahmetos thank you for the beautiful lyrics my friend!

  • @0091thess

Omar Farouk is Half EGYPTIAN and his Music had been influenced from EGYPT and its Civilization Specially ancient EGYPTIAN Music...Plus he made a tribute on the song "Yalel" to his Great Ideal ,the legendary EGYPTIAN singer and the star of the East "Omm Kulthum"

  • @theriverQueen01 he is not Egyptian he is %100 Turk smoker ... Go use uncle google and learn .. Check at vikipedia etc/

  • @theriverQueen01 I know about his influence, you' re right.

  • @0091thess If you are greek as you say you cant admire turkish (civilazation) because there is not such thing whatever the turks show as their civilazation is in fact greek so by saying you admire them it shows that you dont know what you are talking about!

  • @markos824 i can guess feeling of fucked by a nation for 1000 years thts why you are jealous but this doesnt let you talk bullshit and lie about culture of other nations.Which turkish civilztion is greek? You claim culture, musics, foods of turks albanians macedons bulgars. You try steal saz, ney, davul, zurna turkish instrumantels and also baklava yoghurt turkish delight etc.None of them is greek. All are seljuk and ottoman culture

  • @Erdemfm youre right but baklava is not necessary turkish.

  • @istiiizzz sorry but baklava are quickly rooted from turkic people's. So it make's it a turkish dessert so it is turkish.

  • @DiivaLah I don't care from where it comes from. I have tastedevery kind of baklava from every countries, also from Istanbul, and the best made ones are from Lebanon (Saida, Tripoli...) Anyway its just my mind. There are stores that made Baklava for centuries, and they really do the best. Culinar things are very hard to know the origine it comes from. You cannot be sure it is from Turkic people or Assyrian or whatever... just enjoy it my friend

  • @markos824 You're talking of course about the byzantine influence on Turks. If you mean this, Ok I agree but generally Turks had already a civilization centuries ago deriving from the depth of Asia. Do not underestimate them so much. You offend yourself as a Greek my firend

  • @0091thess And what their civilization as you like to call it gave to the world? i am just wondering? Any place these people went they stole, destroyed and killed

  • وهم بجد ملك الاحساس عمر فاروق موسيقى تاخدك لعالم من الخيال والاحلام

inanılmaz içten bir yorum..tek kelime ile notalar yetmez bu sesleri kalbe ulaştırmak için..bravo

  • sarcasm? that was a good one.. i just realized that =)

  • and Don't believe everything on the internet or in media. If u would have learned the real history of Ottaman Empire or Turkey u wouldnt call them Barbarians..

  • This a wonderful music.. it just makes u relax. the musical instrument called "ney" in turkish is such a great instrument. By the way Turks are not Barbarians.. In Ottaman Empire, everyone lived in peace.. Turks, Christians, Jews, Greeks, Armenians, and the other nations all lived in peace.. No one from Ottawan Empire tortured them and never forced them to speak Turkish.. They lived their religion and they spoke their own languages..

  • Very gay a poor piece of music...

It is even more shocking and sad to realise that many idiots associate this crap with Islam.

  • @Tyenuj89 it is the Islamic feelings what makes O.F. Tekbilek the oppurtunity and the strength to make such music. and if you dont like it you dont listen to it, you dont have to say stuff like that. you are just scared that all you know about Islam and Turks are wrong and you dont want to admit this. dont be scared we dont bite you! I dare you to learn more about us, more than you here on TV about us!

  • it is hard to imagine, the atrocities of the turkish nation upon the assyrians and armenians. turkish music is the most beautiful in the world. how could this have happened.

  • Music like this washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life

    thx uploader =)

  • barbarian turks always said we,music may be engaged in such barbaric, but how?

  • I dont know, but same time can NOT think any one in whole wide world, to say, dont like this songs of Omar Faruk, real piece of soothing music. welldone. keep up the good work dear Faruk.

  • it is incredible piece of music, I really love. its soothing and every emotional at the same time.

  • My beautiful turkey :) The beautiful land of my ancestors.

  • Just a few days left .. I'm crying like a child.. as soon as my plane lands the 17th I will kiss the ground and take some sand so even when I need to leave my beautiful Turkey I still have its sand to remember it's beautiful smell ..

    I miss home ..

  • @Fussinated - I know you are not happy with how Turkish people have been viewed but just know that there are many who truly appreciate the culture, the people and now, the music. I am Hispanic and I have many Muslim friends and we share the poems of Rumi on Facebook. Rumi was a great poet and mystic. Turkey is a beautiful country and the people, are in fact, beautiful people. If I could afford the travel expense I wouldn't hesitate to visit.

  • I need a Shisha

  • oh very nice.............................

  • He is not Turkish origin he is Arabic he has born in Adana where is near Syria please dont see as everyone is Turkish in Turkey. Because there are 15 ethnic origins live in that country. His music is middle eastern music and there is nothing about turkish music. Turkish culture is mostly influenced by persian and arabic cultures as Turkish descendents were nomads mostly and wherever they moved to they take the culture of the place they moved to.

  • @nebuckhadnezzar senin gibisibe ancak OHAAA denir....

  • @nebuckhadnezzar .you made me lough mate.Turks conqurer and rules the people .without TURKS.people cant rules themself.look at phalistine .iraq, bosnia checnia.people like you ignorant and jelous..

  • @nebuckhadnezzar And what is Kurdish? What cultural practice did you give Turkish?

"as Turkish descendents were nomads mostly and wherever they moved to they take the culture of the place they moved to."

You mean Turkish ancestors, because the descendants established so many settled governments from Huns and Selcuks to Ottomans and Turkish Republic. However, even nomads have a culture, say horse training, literature (the first dictionary in the wordl is written by Turks) etc. Stop hating.

  • @Fussinated no I meant they run away from Chinese as otherwise they would get raped by them! and that's why you had to moved to east. Wooww the first dictionary written in a Turkish! you made me laugh:) thanks for being so funny the earliest known dictionaries written by Chinese in the third century B.C. and other in Latin during the reign of Augustus! I think you are the one who thinks only Turks exist on the earth! well then you ignorant!

  • @nebuckhadnezzar "no I meant they run away from Chinese as otherwise they would get raped by them! and that's why you had to moved to east."

Interesting wording. Who is afraid of who shows itself when the afraid ones start to build "great walls."

As for the dictionary part since there is not much space here I had to cut short. turkish brought their culture with them in the middle eastern region. Dictionary refers to a monolingual dictionary. and yes the first one was written by chinese >>

  • @nebuckhadnezzar Also could you give me reference for that latin dictionary you are talking about.

  • @nebuckhadnezzar >> in the world. But in the region it is written by Turks and in history it is second after chinese. Bilingual dictionaries go way back.

So tell me what is Kurdish? Who are Kurds?

  • so typical of barbarians....to ruin such a great soothing, calm song with their stupid comments...no wonder the world can never be at peace...so unfortunate of us...

  • واو

  • i love Omar faruk

  • une découverte exceptionnelle...

  • Abi hemserim oldugun halde seni cok gec kesfettim fakat seni dinledikten sonra hic bir sey kaybetmedigimi anladim

  • If it's not this music which will send shivers down your spine and make you think about what you are doing in this world, what would it be else? If you think it is only your eyes which can "see", then be sorry for those what your heart can not see...

  • ney is ancient mesopotamian instument was invented in babylon

  • @ravis2010 invented in babylon .you made me lough .mate .lol

  • @sultanabdulhamidhan why did i made u laugh?

check ur sources before u laugh and see the babylonian influence on oriental music .

  • @ravis2010 ,you made me even more lough .bablylon is little dust if you compare the whole middle east.world known islam and islamic inventions with ottomans.mate.do not try to make bablyon influance over ooriental music.

  • @ravis2010 Of course, it can't be Turkish, it must not be Turkish, otherwise, we have to admit that Turkish are not Barbarians but civilized, loving, caring people. Also we have to admit that we usurped Turkish culture and we have to confess that we are the Barbarians proven with what we have done and what we are doing.

  • @Fussinated .you are fucking terorist .now you are talking about civilization .9/11.you killed your own people and blame al-kaide.united states of animals.usa
