A lot of the issues on this show are just coming into vogue now. I was born in 1970 and I don't remember people using the term "biodegradable" till recently. The Hippie in this episode is just like the global warming bull shitters we have today.

Used to watch this as a kid. Is was on either right before or right after Emergency on Saturday night - a show I certainly didn't miss.
I was too young to understand the hippy and communist stuff that didn't touch my small North Carolina mountain town existence.
Ralph was Warren Ferguson on Andy Griffith of course dad would soon be America's dad on Happy Days.
