As if Hitler would have changed anything in his plans to accomodate a papal condemnation. The truth is people just want to have a reason to justify the irrationality of death. In this case they found it in the Pope's silence. Pius was a true Pope in every sense of the word, an inspiration for devotees, a Prince and a Father to all.

@Meneope He was a genius. Pope Pius XII ended Father Tiso's murder of Slovakian Jews. Papal weapons's being mere words, little could be done in Croatia, where priests & friars committed mass murder. Silence afterwords stems from having served Nuremberg's prosecution; the wise shut their mouths after being witnesses to protect themselves & those they represent & also to preclude misuse of their words to exonerate the guilty | accuse the innocent. The terror of the era must never be forgotten.

1. the rebellion is a sin;

2. a unjust law, not in contradiction with the common good and with the will of God, has to be respected;

2. a unjust law from a tyrant is only to his advantage so the rebellion is right, (unless it could give worse troubles to the people).
