Why do people hate these guys?? OK, I know they were both total dickheads on the tour but these are two of the best tennis players to ever walk the earth!! Where's the praise :-) I honestly believe that playing the way they did here, both Connors and Mac could take out players who are in the top 100 today.

@porttunnell So true my friend. It was a great era for tennis but I suppose I'm slightly biased since those were the players I grew up watching when I first got really into the sport. I can't think of more of a warrior though in any sport than Connors. The guys really did play every match as if it was a fight to the death and there's something admirable about that. :) I see Nadal in that same sort of vein as far as his work ethic. Anyway, happy new year mate!
