@IveHearted1 Yeah, the Lord wants our heart. When we are born again we receive a new heart, not just a name that gives us sort of a "diplomatic immunity". Scripture says to not judge others, but to help point the in the right direction, because for change that is expected of God, is not able to be done completely by yourself, or if you do it won't last for very long, pray and ask for help, and most of all you have to mean it. The fact is, only born again believers who are already forgiven can call God “Father” (John 1:12) The conditional nature of God’s forgiveness has to do with our relationship with Him while we’re here on earth, not our eternal salvation. The "Christians in Hell" doctrine is from - Hell.

Glenhenna is the "garbage pit" outside of Jeruselum. It was burning in Jesus's time, and probably still burns today. I think you are mixing up your passages a bit here, but you do support that body and soul will be burned together.

@bgibb101 Luke 23:43 has the comma in the wrong place. He could NOT have met the man in paradise that day. Jesus tells Mary Magdalene when she sees Him at the tomb, that He has NOT risen yet. Nothing in the scripture says He went to heaven and then came back. 2 Corinthians 5:8 is a poor choice of scripture for the point your trying to make. Same with Phil 1:23.

Here is exactly, word for word, the order in the original Greek, which can be verified in any interlinear Bible: "Verily I say to thee today with me shalt thou be in the Paradise." "Today" naturally follows "say," the word it modifies.

Scripture says to not judge others, but to help point the in the right direction, because for change that is expected of God, is not able to be done completely by yourself, or if you do it won't last for very long, pray and ask for help, and most of all you have to mean it. Jesus was clear that our salvation depends only on believing that He paid the full price for all of our sins. (John 3:16, 6:28-29 and others) The New Testament contains numerous confirmations of this. The fact is, only born again believers who are already forgiven can call God “Father” (John 1:12) The conditional nature of God’s forgiveness has to do with our relationship with Him while we’re here on earth, not our eternal salvation. Glenhenna is the "garbage pit" outside of Jeruselum. It was burning in Jesus's time, and probably still burns today. I think you are mixing up your passages a bit here, but you do support that body and soul will be burned together.

Jesus didn't go to Hell. Nor did he truely die. How then did he take our punishment? What if you are standing before God, condemned to Hell, and Jesus says, OK I'm going to Hell for you now. Would you let Him? Not me pal. I would blaspheme before I'd let Him go for me. What if that's what judgment REALLY entails? Your ability to know what's right or wrong, and act accordingly, even if it means HELL.

@IveHearted1 - ....Other Scriptures in the New Testament indicate that sheol/hades is a temporary place where the souls of unbelievers are kept as they await the final resurrection and judgment at the Great White Throne judgment. The souls of the righteous go directly into the presence of God— heaven/paradise/Abraham’s bosom—at death (Luke 23:43; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23). Ultimately, it is the Lake of Fire that id the final place for ther unsaved. See Revelation 20:13.

@bgibb101 Luke 23:43 has the comma in the wrong place. He could NOT have met the man in paradise that day. Jesus tells Mary Magdalene when she sees Him at the tomb, that He has NOT risen yet. Nothing in the scripture says He went to heaven and then came back. 2 Corinthians 5:8 is a poor choice of scripture for the point your trying to make. Same with Phil 1:23.

I think Christianity made up this story about the ascension, since it's unlikely even Jesus's FLESH went to heaven. Other scriptures say Jesus went to Tibet. I like that idea much better than this ascension thing, since they actually have some footprints there that are said to be made by Jesus, that have holes in them. What do the Christians have? NOTHING, except each other's false witness.

In I Corinthians 15:3-4, Paul tells Christians: "For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures." Notice that the body was buried, and that the soul went to Paradise. It reads that His BODY was dead for three days. Then He arose!

It was added into the Greek and English centuries later by men. Here is exactly, word for word, the order in the original Greek, which can be verified in any interlinear Bible: "Verily I say to thee today with me shalt thou be in the Paradise." "Today" naturally follows "say," the word it modifies.

as hard as it is for me to say this, jesus is the way to god. i had an epiphany. they can be quite unnerving, especially when you get them all the fucking time. he is god's living testament, he is lord, and he shows that nothing is impossible with god by being fully god and fully man. i am not getting this from a church or religion. i am always doing things on my own. and now i have gained more insight- i have seen both sides now, the one that supports jesus as lord and savior and one who doesnt

It's funny yet pathetic how people create images and videos of hell and torture to scare people into doing good things in life. I don't steal, commit adultary, kill, or do the many bad things in life but I'm not perfect and nor is anyone else. However, scaring somebody into believing something like this will happen to you after you die is childish. It's likey saying, if you don't eat your vegies, your ears fall off. Scaring people through fear tactics is a sin in itself.

False Christians are comparable to Judas. He followed Jesus in the wrong spirit. If you love God with your whole heart, but your actions speak otherwise, you are still saved because we are not saved by works but rather grace. If you are a follower of christ but your heart really doesn't love Him, then you're probably not saved. It all has to do with the condition of the heart. I've seen a few TV preachers flash the devil horns hand gesture..these would be examples of false followers.

Your ideas of hell come from fanon, not canon. Also, what good is it for men to "stop sinning" (try that!), when they don't trust in what Christ did for us or don't know who he is? It would be as useful as for a mass murderer to say sorry and suddenly start adopting kittens to escape judgment - it won't happen. If you where truly sincere with yourself, you'd see that you're doing the exact same thing or worse on daily basis. That's why I rather trust my Savior than anything I do or don't.

which hell are you referring to? the word hell is comes from 4 different hebrew and greek words. They all mean different things, not one of them mean a place where i will somehow physically burn but not be burned up. Then we have "the lake of fire" which is the second death. The bible says the lake of fire is the second death, not a place for bad people to be placed. Christ came so set us free. the church uses the unholy trinity to put people in bondage. Shame, Guilt, & Fear. unholy trinity.

As I understand it, the only demons in "hell" now are captives in tartarus, the deepest part of hades & away from humans. They'll be released in the last days to wreak terror on the living. After that, all people who's names are not found in the book of life, Satan, anti-Christ & all demons, will be cast into the lake of fire for eternity. It seems there'll be levels of torment there, w/ Satan having it the worst & decent folk who hadn't heard the gospel in the "best" section.

Yes, the best place in hell is still horrible. I guess the 'decent' will have less on their consciences. God gives all good things, to be seperated from Him will be to spend eternity without 1 comfort or any hope it'll improve. The nonbeliever rejects that he is blessed by God, but he'll learn how much God had blessed him when they end. Also, his sins will bear down on his enlightened conscience forever. I don't know which will torment worse, the physical or the mental.

Yes it's true that sins are the way to hell, but there is a Christian atonement, regret, and Jesus can save us. YOU HAVE NOT TO DECIDE WHO GOES TO HELL AND WHO GOES IN HEAVEN. There is the way to be near to God and with God, and this way is the Orthodox Church because it is the original church
