my first team to beat feral chaos was Lightning, Bartz, Vaan, Garland, and Prishe. Lightning took away about 1/5, vaan took about 2/5 bartz took him down to a few thousand HP, garland left him with like a thousand but i got slopp :P, then prishe swooped in for a kill, but it took me HOURS to make this plan work out. Now i beat him only using Vaan Garland Cecil and Golbez

@lightsaberD To be honest, any character rapes Feral Chaos, you don't need a team.. He was pretty disapointing for a "Super Boss" when I basically sent Terra in and Kain didn't even get a shot even being the second one. The green one seemed harder.

After the "Fake" Feral Chaos... no one really proved a worthy fight for this song. Repitions of the full theme fore fake feral chaos when I fought and won: like 10. "Real" Feral Chaos: maybe 3 or 4 full times through.

Sudden Cruelty and Godspeed = Moves that can be easily blocked and avoided. Second, Heartless angel can't be canceled into Schintilla. Instead, you have to wait for him to stop doing it before you use any other moves. Any character that has crappy HP moves and no Branching HP attacks is instantly lower than anyone that does. Take Jecht for example. He's FLAWLESS as a character.

@shadowandsonic4ever I hate to break it to you, but yes, if a character does have branching HP attacks, it does make them better than those that don't and here's why:

Let's just say you're in a match against a tough CPU or a really tough human opponent. If you're a character like, say, Garland, who doesn't have any BRV moves that branch, and the foe is dodging all of your HP attacks due to the fact that they have a horrendous startup time and easy to dodge, what good do they do you? *cont*

@shadowandsonic4ever *cont* But let's say you're someone like the WoL, who does have branching HP moves, and the BRV move that he needs to connect in order to use it has a fast startup time, hard to predict, and easy to connect with the opponent, which of the two characters are better? The WoL, of course.

Now Jecht does have branching HP moves, but to pull them off is pretty difficult, and that's why he's so much fun for me. Don't believe me?

@X0xplanetkillerx0X True, but if you're an EX based player like myself, it's a bit harder to charge up the assist gauge, seeing as how most of the characters that I use, such as Gabranth, Cloud, Terra (Terra's a BEAST in EX mode, she's like Gabranth), Onion Knight (AKA Ingus) and Jecht (also godlike in EX mode, that auto combo, man) those kindsa characters's true power is revealed in EX mode. Besides, a character that can land an HP move w.out an assist > one that relies on one, anyway.

@ThePistlwhipr I agree with that to an extent, but I should point out that it's actually not that hard to make a functional build that augments EX AND assists at the same time. The important thing is to not cripple Assist Charge % or EX Force Absorption % when doing so. For example, equipping the Heaven's Cloud, A White Gem and 3 White Drops gives you CotW-esque EX while only hampering Assist Duration by 25%. And that can be offset with Assist Gauge Up Dash.

Up till now, I've been investing in EX gear, because all of my 5 characters have branching HP attacks (with the exception of Gabranth, I still need to work on making landing HP attacks with him easier, an assist build for him, maybe?), and all are absurdly strong in EX mode.

Buuuut, I digress. Different playing styles are what makes Dissidia fun, don'cha think? In all due honesty, all my characters are also my favorite personality-wise too xD

@ThePistlwhipr Well for me he's good 1st His HP attacks are predictable but have good range and great execution PS Schintilla and Heaven's Light.2nd Ex Mode is good,you can convine Heartless Angel and a Schintilla or Heaven's Light and you got a opp break and a awesome Supernova combine that with Ifrit summon and you deal massive damage.3rd You can give no chance for your opp to retaliete with a combo of Sudden Cruelty and Godspeed. Also combine with his DLC costume and you SHOULD use Sephiroth.

hmmm i find it interesting that these songs are of two different perspectives. cantata mortis being the views of state. they saw him as nothing but a tool of conquest and destruction as described by the latin lyrics. while god in fire is from chaos's point of view. how he viewed the state that did nothing but harm him. cid would be the "god". cid's wife being the "mother" he lost to the state. cid's wife had died thus the "Fortune abandoned by God " lyric.
