When you are wearing your helmet head-cam, how do you adjust the focus or distance, when the truck reverses closer to your front? The other driver cannot see into his container, how do you signal him that he can buzz off? Thanks for sharing.
The cam is auto focus, and it's always hit and miss. I just try to use the part that's in focus, as much as possible.
As far as signaling the driver, there are various ways. Typically you can just use the horn. But with the better drivers (the ones that aren't sleeping in the cab), I can just give them a quick nod of the head, and they know that means 'go'.
...It's the same with backing up: if I have the bucket loaded and ready, I'll just dump the first one when the truck is about a foot ahead of where I want it to stop. When the dirt hits the box, the driver will stop.
I have worked with a few different hoe operators one guy used hand signals and the horn. The others and I use the drop method and horn. Get a bucket of material swing it over the area you want the truck when its backed under where you want it drop the load.
Why doesn't Fast Trac have a tandem axle dump the video of you hauling the one Hitachi on the tag trailer behind the wheelbarrow looked scary LOL
I know you can get a pretty good deal on a brandnew Sterling at Dams Ford. Truck sales have been pretty slow. Lots of nice bright colours to choose from "Laugh".
Hey bro. All those who work for Fast Trac have asked that question. All we can do is shake our heads at the senselessness of trying to make a single axle do the job of a tandem. This is why I call our truck the 'shopping cart'.
I wish they'd never purchased it. It's always a sure fire way to get embarrassed when a customer orders a 'dump truck', and they send us out with that little thing; and it ALWAYS POs the customers when they see it. "I ordered a dump truck! I didn't order a single axle!"
Yes sir, that looks like a FEMA death camp to ME:) Hey I just drove past that Purolator depot the other day on the way to my float plane down by the South terminal. Ive also seen that Pahl truck over there before too. Hey all good to see you again. Welcome back.
Whats the name of the company you work for?

It sounds like the boss is stubborn LOL
You never save money running a single axle.
