I lived in Whitehorse for a few years and you should go down to Skagway,Alaska, in the summer, it's a hell of a trip.About 2 hours away from Whitehorse.I've been pretty much everywhere in Canada and the US and has to be the most beautiful scenery on the continent.
One of the reasons we did the article was because, however illogical, these were the three bikes people kept asking us to compare. In the end it was a lot closer than we would have expected. The KTM though is by far the most fun ;)
Thanks! We're going to be focusing more on the travel and adventure side of the trip than the bikes, as the written review is already posted on OneWheelDrive (dot) Net

this series is a gem, great footage and wonderful canadian humour at its best - dry, intellegent and slightly camp ;-)

@obliquepanic Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. Working on the next one for the Baja now.

Now that's a trip. Looks like it was a blast.
Lots of gear packaged on the back of that BMW :-)

Is hard to compare ktm with r1200adv from bmw. KTM is more offroad, BMW is more to confort and can do offroad also but not as good as KTM.
So, depends what you want :)
I have a r1200gsa and am happy with it. But I will try out a ktm also, just for fun :)

The R1200GSA though was the best at eating big miles... which made it a toss up.

If I had the chance to put my arse on one of these, I would have probably gone with KTM. Never ridden anyofthem, though. :)
Good video, but what happened to camera resolution?
penc5use3 2 years ago
Resolution is fine for me, may have still been transcoding.
Just finishing the written portion of the review. Will let you know when the conclusion is posted.
