I agree this one of the best Sweet songs and Brian has an incredible voice that resonates how good and underrated this band really was. They were really ahead of their time if you look at all the B side songs and not just at the Nicky/Chapman pop although some of it was right for the day. I have looked at SWEET songs and videos and my 13 year old son who is learning how to play guitar and drums and said Dad who were these guys they are awesome.
If this band was a Glam-Rock band, they don't look like one in this. The look like a regular band in this performance. If you want to know, I like the tune.

File this song somewhere next to Queen, Sparks and ELO as one of the best art rock songs of the 70's. This is my favourite Sweet song, although the stuff they did with Chinn & Chapman was great as well. :)

That is good to hear. Check out Sweet's other big hits "Fox on the Run" and "Ballroom Blitz". They played the glitz and glam game, but that's what people did back in the mid 70s. It was glorious. And, I have to say......

I saw Sweet in Concert in April 1978 and they performed this as a new song. They brought the house down Memphis, Tennessee. They were the back up band for Bob Segar and the Silver Bullet Band.
Superb, nice to find out that the band I hated as a kid pop glam rock (I was into the clash) are in fact brilliant, professional, what a lovely find. What a shame they couldn't get on together and become worldwide, Brit rock tour deforce!

I was approximately 13 years old when this song was popular. The older teens, some of whom drove, a Trans Am, a Mustang, etc... jammed to this type of music. Awesome song and the longer version is just as great. Sweet, ELO, Pink Floyd, Frampton, Zeppelin, and on and on!. Thank you for incredible instrumentals...You all were exceptional musicians!

I was approximately 13 years old when this song was popular. The older teens, some of whom drove, a Trans Am, a Mustang, etc... jammed to this type of music. Awesome song and the longer version is just as great. Sweet, ELO, Pink Floyd, Frampton, Zeppelin, and on and on!. Thank you for incredible instrumentals...You all were exceptional musicians!

No matter how we name it-but it has many elements of pop&disco.That kind of sound made "Sweet" interesting to me. Before "Level Headed" I've heard nothing of such quality like this...(except maybe "Fox On The Run")
