This girl is so much better them Barbara Patilla that they are making a fuss over on AGT, Faryls voice is pleasant to the ears she will be an opera superstar for a long time.....she is wonderful
Not true! You cannot tell how someone's voice will develop and if it will be big enough to fill opera houses at that age. This girl has a nice voice but needs a lot of work in order to become a great at opera, and there are plenty of people walking around with at least her level of talent, I know many personally. With training, she could be good, but Miss Padilla has a huge operatic tone that is already developed and trained enough for roles.
True, Faryl is not the finished article. But then neither is Barbara Padilla. I am not surprised that she has a more developed voice as she is 36 years old. Whether she has the voice that could sustain a role in opera is debateable. A vastly superior singer to Padilla, Katherine Jenkins, considers that her own voice will not be strong enough for opera roles for at least 10 years. As for Faryl you have to remember that she is still only 14 years old and is already receiving top class coaching.
Wouldn't that be based on opinion whether Katherine Jenkins is a "Far Superior" voice than Barbara Padilla. I haven't found any videos of Jenkins even singing arias, and Miss Padilla has already sung roles very well. I am an opera singer myself and have actually met Miss Padilla, and she is a dear and true colleague. She hadn't sung in a while prior to the show because she had to fight cancer. I have seen her sing since the show as she visited us, and she is singing even better now.

If Barbara Padilla is as accomplished a singer as you claim her to be, why did she have to enter AGT to get recognised? Mention Miss Padilla's name outside of the USA and you will get the response "Who ?" Simply because she is so good no-one's heard of her.

Sorry, her uneven vibrato is painful for trained ears.
@mwdot12 I am not suggesting that Katherine is the world's best, she is far from it. But currently she outsells any other female classical singer in the world. I agree with you about her vocal technique also her diction. Miss Padilla, on the other hand, is almost unknown outside of the USA.
A good performance for a young lady.
