If you take a Brazilian boy and raise him in America he isn't gonna be the next Kaka right?

  • The fact is this boy can dance and all I know is creole ,Temne ,limba or Mende we are all Sierra leoneans and is time we come together to build our country. The Artist name is Ragga spice real name Alusine sesay born in the central part of Freetown

  • Look alive, this is also a kinda reality

Mother of civilization.

  • nahhh i dont think he's the best dancer...wrong rumors...

  • he dance very well..but should be said that he is quite lucky to still have both arms and legs after recent 10 years of brutal sadistic civil war... is good that they still have enough faith & happiness to keep on dancing on the streets after that. he encourages people saying "its been horror on these streets but here I am dancing over them, life goes on"...Keep On Dancing against human wars and conflicts...FUCK FRU!!!

  • its in the blood! you hardly see an asian or white dance like that.

  • Innit.Resect 2 u boi

  • yeah dats right they sud shut up hes tryin his best

  • the tune sounds a lil jamaican .. good dancer

  • well thats cause if he is creole he is of jamacian decent. dont you know your history? 20% of sierra leone is creole and freetown is their base but they have the most influence since they share creole as a common language they are the same people you see in the caribs today

  • 3.5% of Sierra Leone is creole, not 20.. (?)

and Caribs have since mixed (many of them)--many creoles you see now (not all, but most) never mixed--and so are pure from Africa--Long before the creation of what has today come to be known as West Indian culture, repatriation occured--whilst blacks were STILL being snatched from Africa--so that could mean anything-

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • um if he is creole he is NOT of jamacian decent, but rather, if you are jamacian you are of African decent. the carribeans was where they dropped of the unruley slaves that were mis behaving on the ship. so please learn a bit about your cluture first before you start asking people if they know their history.

  • um actually you need to go back and re read. sierra leoneans are spread across the wold now but infact it was 20 percent of the countries population. many moved to england and america after the war took place. and when i said carib decent i know its also african decent daaaa the only thing is that not all are necessarily black completely. some have a mix of Scottish and english mix as well as various western african mix...read about it and let me know

  • um you need to decide what you are talking about, you said creole people and now you talking bout sierra leoneans, cause sierra leoneans includes every tribe in sierra leone. so how bout you make up your mind and then let me know.

  • anyway kingv you're right about the history thing HOWEVER some Africans (sierra leoneans; liberians) are of Caribbean/West Indian ancestry too. in fact 500 Jamaican slaves (and some from other islands) were set free before the ending of th trans Atlantic slave trade and were allowed to live in S.L or Liberia therefore the mentality, food, and languages (krio) are from the Caribbean.

  • krio are 2 percent of the population and the krio language does not come from the west indies especially the food u are kind of dumb for saying that the language is a mixture of english french and portugese and alot of african languages

  • in the carribean do they have foood similar to fufu palava cassava leaves no so shut up

  • krio people are seen as nothing in sierra leone

  • How are they seen as nothing in Sierra Leone? I'm not being tribalist or anything, but WE are one of the most successful ethnic groups in the country. WE are successful in many ways, especially academically. So I would appreciate if you elaborate on what you mean by saying "krio people are nothing" because I am sure OUR contribution counts in the country as a whole.

    ~*~Ru'By.

  • basta pikin krios are slaves hahaha lol

  • krios are descendants of slaves. Not slaves. some of us have to go back 8 generations to get to our American and Caribbean slave ancestry.

  • we are one the most successful ethnic groups in sierra leone. dont mind, some other tribes are jealous. I am not tribalistic, but if the small krios (who i hear are only 5.83% of the freetown area!) are not so important, why bother speaking about them?

  • You have evidence for this?

  • haha quite the opposite. Actually many people wish they were Krio. I am not saying Krios are better than anyone else, but what robinhopedalada1 is saying is typical of indigeneous Sierra Leoneans to say of Krios-because they are J-E-A-L-O-U-S. It is pathetic really, because Krios did do a lot all over West Africa-Krios are still the most successful in Gambia (called Akus), Nigeria (Called Saros), and in other West African countries. Even Monty Jones is a Krio...the rice guy on Time magazine.

  • To say many people wish they were Krios actually a grave misrepresentation of the fact. I have high respect for Krios mainly because of the highly disciplined manner they confront life but the problem with them is they feel more identified with England than Africa and it's way of life. Unless they realise that they are actually Africans they will always feel left by the so called indegenious tribes that choose to preserve their African identitiy.

  • for robinhopedalada1 to say "krio people are seen as nothing in sierra leone" is a grave misrepresentation of the facts. It is indigeneous Sierra Leoneans who told Krios "you are not a nation" and who put in the Sierra Leone Constitution the terms Native and Creoles? Indigeneous Sierra Leoneans did. So if anyone has made the Krios seem foreign to Africa it is Indigeneous Sierra Leoneans. I am not tribalistic but this is fact. Krios cannot even own land in the provinces-a law retained still

  • And Krios know they are Africans-if you think not then you obviously do not the culture of the Krio people. Many Krios like English culture because English culture is part of our culture alongside various other slave cultures and Nigerian culture. The fact is that Krios give their children "ose names" and other things as a sign of our African pride.Welike England-some of us have English ancestry, others of us were born there, and all of us at one time or another were British citizens or subjects

  • Krios choose to preserve their African heritage-just not in a way they deem uncivilized and outdated. We have our secret societies-Hunting, ect alongside our Masonic Lodges. So we are a unique combination of various slave cultures, British culture, and African culture. Some of the food we eat can be traced back to other tribes in Sierra Leone-so we have incorporated the cultural food of other tribes.

  • But either way, this is how Krio culture is-we are not going to change our culture merely because others cannot accept it. We are so small a minority, why should we seen as bothersome to others? Few other ethnic groups of our size and proportion garner as much attention in Sierra Leone-in fact I believe we are the smallest tribe. So why is it that everyone is quick to write an article about our "annoying ways".

  • Fact is Krio culture will not and should not change-we have a right to be the way we are like any other tribe or ethnic group in Sierra Leone. Much of our distancing ourselves from Sierra Leone is due to the fact we are not given a chance to participate in Politics fully. If we do not pander we will not win.

  • And we definitely have no chance at being President. Finance minister yes, President-no. These are just my opinions about Krio culture-and I think I know what I am talking since I am a Krio. I think Sierra Leone will be better off if we all accept each others cultures-because after all we are not change merely for one another.

  • kingvspades youre right. we Jamaicans and Haitians (and if you think about it all west indians) are descendants of the warrior...."dont take no shit" Africans. England gave us "bad slaves" to the "lower class whites" (scottland, ireland etc) and kept the "yes massah" slaves in America.

  • well i'm glad you are jamacian, and I am african. born in africa, both parents african. and we are not krio.

  • 2 percentof the population is krio and sierra leone creole is a mixture of english french portugese and african languages.
