  • Jimmy Carter is one of the most decent people ever to hold the office of president, or ever to be in politics at that....unfortunately he just wasn't that great of a president....I wish I could be on a flight with him, and sit next to him, I'd have so many questions to ask him! God bless Jimmy Carter and America!

  • Flying in Economy is too good for the "Big Peanut", but at least he isn't the absolutely worst president ever anymore. The Kenyan goat herder has taken that honor. Well, at least BOTH are Democrats.

  • @AgentPepsi1 lol that is funnny ass hell....thanks

  • @AgentPepsi1 Worst President ever is George W. Bush by far. Obama is 100x better than him, having to clean up the mess his adminstration made.

  • @glory789 obama voted for bushes spending

  • sucks for a former president to fly in economy ;)

  • President carter in 1080p......good 1!!

  • bet he misses air force one...lol....delta is almost as bad as southwest.hahah

  • @JeremyGafford how is southwest and delta so bad.

  • @yoyoyoyoshua because it is ...lol at least in my opinion, do you work for them?

  • @JeremyGafford no but I've flown on both of them and had no problems.

  • I LOVE the fact that everyone on board (especially Carter) had to fly into RONALD REAGAN Airport. :-)

  • Fair play to ya Jimmy boy!.....coming down the plane to say hello to the grunts

  • this interviewer sounds like he has had more liberal cock than barney frank and hary reid...who must have floated down the river in a basket weaven by the job maker that he is, pause, we hold these truths to be self-evident, an environment.

    a quality /watch?v=ikKoAzGNs6c a quality

  • Nice but bush was better with Laura and the Libral Media is nothing but spin and obmas are droping

  • he seems a nice man. I would be thrilled to have someone like him abourd my plane.

  • Here is a sensible guy

  • Awesome dude.

  • President Jimmy Carter, for all practical purposes is one finest decent President we've ever had. Jerry Ford and Jimmy Carter RANK high on the list as the most honest and decent men ever to sit in the White House. The worst had to be George W. Bush.

  • Nice Video. I notice someone glanced in your direction twice. :)

  • nice man

    takes a regular domestic flight......

he might of been a liberal

    but he a kind person

  • Lucky sommama bitches

  • wow what an honour. and with a former president i dont think you would be as nervous.

  • Wow, he's a regular guy sitting in Y class? I thought all ex prezes had government planes flyuing them around. Wher's his wife ?

  • He was the best president.

  • To TrainSounds...The whistling in your ears is not from train sounds, rather it's the velocity and speed of the train that Carter rode out of D.C. on.

He was the best fence sitter.

  • @TrainSounds

    _______________________________

He was the worst President in the Twentieth Century. He left us with 20% inflation, hostages in Iran, and a malaise that he tried to blame on the American People. Interesting he is going to the Ronald Reagan Airport.

  • Ever heard of Herbert Hoover? Brush up on your history, redneck.

  • I would of respectfully declined the handshake. I need to avoid ANY possible racist situations.

  • Porque?

  • Flying economy?!?! I thought first class!!

  • 747: There are people who like what Carter did after he left the White House, even the same people who did not like Carter's actions as President.

  • Everyone is so ridiculous on the plane!!!! Taking so many pictures of him-he's just a person! Give him some space people!

  • i think he likes that kind of attention

  • some people do & some ppl don't. i guess he does.

  • Yeah, try telling that to the paparazzi.

No, he's not just a person. He's a former president and that's a big deal to most people.

  • ha, i know he's a former president or was..but anyways, he's still considered a person.

  • Yeah, that's true :)

  • wer was he sitin on the plane

  • Delta Air Lines is the best!

  • here is a song that should be agunst obama and carter called cam ye ore frea France

  • what

  • is it 757? beucase when I flew 757 there were in-seat monitors

  • @tramrunner Yea, its a Delta Boeing 757 3 seats on each side.

  • President Carter was, and remains, a class act all the way.

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you for sharing this ! A class act no matter what you think !

  • Should rename to "Why Democrats Are AWSOME!!"

  • its pretty cool how he took the time to shake hands with all the pasengers onboard. what are the chances he was on ur flight. ha

  • I flew with pres. Carter on the way down to kpbi for the carter weekend last February.

I doubt that this was just some random flight that he got on, his schedule is planed and the secret service needs to know where he is going. These people are probably part of the carter center or they won a prize to be on this flight. But I will say that he does indeed come to every person and shake there hand before you takeoff. Very genuine.

  • My family and I are very good friends with Mr. Jimmy and I'll tell you, these people didn't win anything to be on the flight, he just simply chooses to fly coach like everyone else! Well, with secret service that is!

  • His worst mistake was boycotting the Olympics in Moscow. Russians answered right back in our faces four years later in L.A. The Olympics were meant to be free from all political bunk. A time for world harmony - temporary though it may be - and not government statements.

  • You know, I disdain Jimmy Carter and most Democrats in general, but boy would that be amazing to shake hands with a former President! Wow.

  • Who's the old geezer?

  • President Jimmy Carter. He was President of USA 1977-1981. You must be a fucking retard if you didn`t know!

  • Worst.

    President.

    Ever.

20% interest. 10% unemployment. 10% inflation. Gas lines. Hostages in Iran.

He was in *way* over his head.

  • The hostages was released, the other problems were caused by others. His achievments are forgotten. The Camp David agreement, his commitment for human rights. I agree that he was wrong on some issues like the death penalty. He`s for the death penalty and i guess you agree with me that Carter was wrong there. But overall, i like the man, and i`m glad he was our president. The one who took over was a disaster. Ignored aids, Iran contras, record high deficit, rise in poverty, higher crime rates!

  • The hostages were released when Pres. Reagan was in office.

Camp David Agreement? Yeah, lasting peace in the Middle East. Right.

The "one who took over" is considered to be one of the greatest presidents in American history. Of course, when you support one of the worst, that's gotta hurt.

  • He is considered a great president by his own party, not by the rest. When he left office, there was a record high deficit and the Iran contras scandal. He also ignored the aids epedemic, and the poverty rates were sky high. People lost jobs under Reagan and the crime rates escelated. He was NOT a great president. Name on achievment of Regan?? The hostage crisis were resolved by the Carter administration. Iran didn`t release them before Carter was finished cause they wanted to humiliate him!

  • I`ll give you this. He was a GREAT communicator, maybe the best ever, and a good president hve to be able to communicate his agenda. On that he was the very best. I personally like Reagan, but he was not a great president. His mistakes were to many. Carter was a decent man with a good heart. He won the Nobel Peace Price. I respect him, to bad you don`t, but that`s your problem. not mine.

  • reagan ignored aids. i wasn't even first seen until 1981 i believe. granted the first cases had started in the 50's in africa. but the first real outbreak here. all reagan did was say what rednecks wanted to hear. they let loose all the mentally ill, they got rid of all the social programs they could. they created osama bin laden. carter is probably my hero.

  • Well said. I like him too:)

  • your right i mean he wants to raise military spending and lower taxes?! how do tou get the money? you get it from things that need it like schools, hospitals, Roads and Railways

  • Well, it wasn't "rednecks" who would be blamed for OBL. Many war strategists felt that playing up "jihad" would be a great way to get rid of the Soviets in Afghanistan. They wouldn't realize the long term consequences of that...

  • no, i said reagan played up to the rednecks, not that the rednecks created obl. i figure that iran contra, is what led to the problems we are having in the middle east to this day.

  • It was the situation in Afghanistan that created modern Islamic fundamentalism. In Middle Eastern countries people read the Quran in prisons and people became restless against their governments. Those countries emptied the prisons so these men would fight against the Soviets and not against their own countries.

  • Reagan has NOTHING to do with the release of hostages. In fact, Carter worked his ASS off even when he was the FORMER President on it.

  • exactly. reagan and his buddies created this mess we are in now. it was the entire iran-contra screw up

  • @Enslaved10 I applaud you for your respect for President Carter, he is a good man but even Democrats thought he was a bad President, thats why Ted Kennedy ran against him in '80 primaries setting the stage for Reagan Landslide victory.

  • @norr4636 My no.1 reason for loving Carter is because he adressed human rights. He didn`t go to bed with brutal regimes like every other administration has done. Nixon killed the president in Chile and replaced him with the devil himself Pinochet. Eisenhower supported Marcos in the Philippines. And i don`t agree that the deficit wasn`t Reagans fault. It was Reagans taxcuts and spending on the military that led to the deficit, and taxcuts and defense aren`t exactly democratic priorities!

  • love how you express: "replaced him with the devil himself Pinochet"

  • @Enslaved10 He destroyed the Iranian economy and political structure and helped facilitate the rise of the Islamic Republic that threatens America today. He failed miserably at the things that actually mattered. Didn't go to bed with brutal regimes? He helped build one.

  • @norr4636 It's not Eisenhower who supported Marcos but LBJ. It was during the time of LBJ when Marcos came in to power in 1965. And it was during the time of Reagan, when he (Reagan) asked Marcos to step down in office to give way to Cory Aquino in the blodless coup't of 1986 or commonly called the People Power Revolution (EDSA I Revolution).

  • President Carter did many mistakes. Like letting the shah of Iran in to recieve medical treatment. That led to the hostage situation. However, the hostages was released and none of them died. The energy crizes was a global thing and had nothing to do with President Carter. Look at his successes. Camp David was a huge success. His focus on human rights was great too. I think President Reagan was a worse president. He left office with a record high deficit, ignored aids, sold weapons to Iran

  • @Yellyist President Reagan created 23 million jobs, oversaw an economic boom in America. But you like to talk about deficits but you as a liberal believes in deficits to fund social programs and other govt programs favoite by the progressives...so your point on deficits is laughable. Even Reagan admitted he failed on the deficits...Sold weapons to Iran....Well that wasn't proven that he was directly involved and Americans held Reagan in high esteem even after the crisis.

  • I think President Reagan was pretty laughable. Iran Contras happened on his watch, and he even apologized for it. So there you go, he armed our enemy, so that they could come back and kill us with our own weapon. The deficit showed that he mishandled the economy, cause he didn`t pay for his taxcuts. He totally ignored the aids epedemic. If a democratic president had screwed up like Reagan did you would have crucifiedhim, but since he was a republican, you let it pass.

  • Reagan was also the one that moved the republican party to the far right. President Ford was much more reasonable than Reagan. Even Nixon was more moderate. Reagan is responsable for the right wing takeover of the republican party. He killed the moderates. You conservatives keep whining about President Obama adding to the deficit, but you totally ignore Reagans deficit, not to mention Bushs who doubled the deficit. Clinton actually reduced it. Republicans doesn`t have a clue on the economy

  • @Yellyist Ummmm..Obama is President not Reagan. Yeah, Reagans Landslides were proof that he didn't know how to handle the economy. You ran two democrats who who couldn't win more than 6 states between them(6) Carter (1) Mondale. Democrats and Obama is killing the conservatives/Moderates in the Democratic party...I'm a moderate/conservative democrat and I'm sick of this spending like a drunken sailor and I was sick of Bush spending as well.

  • I`m not happy about President Obama either. He blew health care. Why didn`t he get it done before the special election in Massachusetts. I was for Hillary during the primarys, but she was screwed by the media. They all wanted Obama. He was never qualified for the job, she was. He became president and look what we got. Obama is a decent man, but he`s not ready to be president

  • @Yellyist I was for Clinton also....I voted for President CLinton in '96 and too young to vote in '92

  • @Yellyist Yep...MSNBC AND THE MEDIA DID HILLARY IN.....

  • Yes they did. Keith Olberman and the rest of the assholes turned on Hillary and screwed her chances. They even called Bill Clinton a racist, and made fun of Chelsea Clinton for campaigning for her mother. Hillary won all the key states, but Obama became president. And look how he screwed up health care. Hillary would have succeeded. Obama is weak. He let the reps screw him. Hillary wouldn`t have let the screw her again. We all saw what they did to Bill Clinton. She learned her lesson

  • @Yellyist You got that right...FUCK MSNBC!! Clinton was better prepared for the battle.....I just feel sick at what might happen and the prospect on Obama losing the whole agenda because he don't know how handle the moderate wing of our party.

  • Comment removed

  • @Yellyist Carter is a good man and did some good things for this country...I'm also fair minded man. I'm from GA so I have no problem with Carter

  • I love the way Carter adressed human rights. He didn`t go to bed with evil dictators like almost every other administration has done, and i respect him for that. He failed on domestic issues though, but a lot of it wasn`t his fault. The energy crizes was a international crizes, but he got the blame.

  • @Yellyist True...but in your opinion...Why did Ted Kennedy challenge him in 1980?

  • I think Ted Kennedy thought he was to conservative. And many democrats thought he lacked visions. He was doing lousy on the polls too and they were afraid that he was gonna lose, and they were right. He lost big to Reagan, and i`m pretty sure Reagan would have won in 1976 if he had beaten Ford. Ford never forgave Reagan for running against him. Their releationship stayed cold, and it never recovered.

  • @Yellyist Ford never forgave Reagan...you are right about that...thats the reason Ford and Nixon didn't come to the Inauguration in '81 and '85

  • Reagan didn`t have a good relationship to anybody, not even his own children. And he acted childish after he lost to Ford in 1976, cause he refused to campaign for Ford during the general election. Reagan blew Fords chances by splitting up the GOP vote. I think Ford was a great president, cause he healed the country after watergate. He did a lot of good. He didn`t deserve to be treated like he was during the 1976 election. Reagan shouldn`t have sabotaged him like he did!

  • @Yellyist Did you know the Reagans didn't invite the Carters back for thier Official Portrait ceremony, and had thier portraits hung before leaving because they treated the Bushes bad during the two terms.....This is from Mrs. Bush '41 memoir.

  • No i never knew.. God that`s petty.. So disrespectful. It just proves what kind of a man Reagan was. He was an asshole. Bush senior was a good and decent man. But his whole presidency was screwed cause he had to pay for Reagans reckless policy. The economy broke down under Bush senior, and although it was the result of Reagans spendings and huge deficit, Bush had to pay the price. He lost the 1992 election because of that.

  • @norr4636 This is a true statment you've made I read Mrs. Bush account. This is typical of Nancy Reagen, she was vain, and small an elitist to say the least. Ronnie couldn't control her.

  • @Yellyist Mrs. Bush '41 invited the Carters for lunch in order to let them see thier protraits

  • @Yellyist This just say a whole lot for Presidents like Jerry Ford and Jimmy Carter, both should have been re-elected. The good people never are, what a shame!

  • @Chesterbarnes1 Yes it does. But i believe we have a good man as president now. I don`t agree with everything he does, but he`s a good and decent man. He took a hit to give us health care. I respect him for that!

  • @Yellyist He did take a huge hit for health care. I agree with what you said though. I also respect him for that.

  • @steelydanbowler America made a huge mistake when they punished president Obama in the mid-term election. John Bonehead is a disaster, and a extreme right-winger. God help us!

  • @Yellyist True, but when the American Public sees what disasters they are causing, the voting will once again go in the other direction. It may take time, but they will see.

  • LOL. Usually "greatest Presidents" have a reason. I.e. Lincoln: held the nation together. F. Roosevelt: Redefined what "protecting America" means domestically. Reagan: ? Won the cold war? L O L.

  • Tehy may've been released on january 20th, 1981 but it was before Reagan took the oath of office. A president elect doesn't hold any powers of the presidency until he or she takes the oath of office, meaning only one thing, Carter set them free. I know Carter's presidency was overall a failure, but those are the facts.

  • @Enslaved10 If you blame Reagan for high deficits, then you must blame the Democratic Congress for spending during his two terms in office, President's no matter what party can't spend money, Congress does. So Reagan can't take blame for deficits, or high crimes, because you can't legislate morality.

  • If you think Carter was the worst president ever, you haven't been paying attention for the last 8 years.

  • nice of the man to be so friendly...great video.

  • God bless former President Carter.

  • And in coach class too... How many Secret Service guys did he have with him, I one saw the one behind him with the earpiece...

  • He had at least two. One in front of him, and one behind him! I think a ex-president has at least four or five secret service agents around them at all time. Even former Vice Presidents gets secret service protection now.

  • @Enslaved10 Not true...Former Vice President under the law signed by Truman and 1997 law under Clinton, their SS protections ends after serving in Office.

  • Very cool. I saw Jimmy Carter at the Salt Lake airport a few years ago making a connection to from one Delta flight to another.

  • Maybe Obama should get former presidents Carter and Clinton their own GV's.

  • Has to go through the whole plane shaking everyone's hand.

  • It looked to me as though he was enjoying it! :-)

  • What Airline were you on?

  • Do your read? Try the title.

  • Delta Airlines... :)

  • @ChidoriStar EXACTLY, ITS ALL ABOUT DELTA AIRLINES!

  • Boy, he must be uncomfortable not travelling on Air Force One.

  • HAha, I don't know about that, its been almost 30 years.

  • If you don`t know that President Carter was the president of USA you need an education and you need to learn modern history. Ignorance like that is scary.
