I flew with pres. Carter on the way down to kpbi for the carter weekend last February.

I doubt that this was just some random flight that he got on, his schedule is planed and the secret service needs to know where he is going. These people are probably part of the carter center or they won a prize to be on this flight. But I will say that he does indeed come to every person and shake there hand before you takeoff. Very genuine.

Tehy may've been released on january 20th, 1981 but it was before Reagan took the oath of office. A president elect doesn't hold any powers of the presidency until he or she takes the oath of office, meaning only one thing, Carter set them free.
