15.54 with a 68 mph trap speed... I'm guessing the tranny quit as it tried to shift into third gear. The Evo missed fourth gear, which hurt as well: 13.18 @ 99.75 mph. I'm guessing the Evo probably runs high 12's at around 105 mph. I'm sure the Marauder is faster when it's not breaking.

the evo lost to a rwd 8cly in the accel which is the 2 most common reasons to not accel fast.

V8 = torque which is good for acceleration. Look up the Taurus SHO. The Yamaha V8 weighed barely more than a V6 but put out more torque in comparison. What you meant to say was weight causes bad acceleration but a V8 doesn't have to be heavy. RWD is also better for acceleration than FWD due to the weight transfer. AWD can be better or worse.

FWIW this run was when John grenaded his drivetrain. The stock transmission can't handle his engine. It's since replaced and MUCH faster. Search Prorauder.

The car runs 13's but it has a problem with going lean at the top end, so he has to let off the gas 3/4th way down the track.

Its got a wet injection nitrous kit ontop of that blower and is still being tuned, itl be back.
