Caroline Glick has a well developed argument and framework from which she persuasively argues her points. Baskin is a FOOL, hoping against hope that the Arabs won't serve him to their livestock for dinner.
Baskin is talking about destruction...and as a leftist how can you support lands that are required to be Jew free? Is that the kind of peace we are to have-Jews and Arabs in one land and arabs in another? The facts on the ground testify to the future-the left wanted us out of gaza and we got what we got-it didn't take a day to have the remnants of gaza destroyed and attacks to begin...only the truly naive can possibly believe that the arabs do not mean what they say....sad really
As a Rightist, how can you support policies that will lead to one Arab state and no Jewish state between the River and the Sea?
Sorry, but there are valid points on both Left and Right, and among both Israelis and Palestinians. You'd have a better chance of changing minds by first recognizing this.
But let's not try to solve the conflict in 500 character messages. I invite you to join a Facebook group I moderate, called "Israel/Palestine - Open Discussions to Understanding Both Sides".
I am not big for style over substance something the elites think carries more weight than the actual arguments. I think Caroline is arguing about survival and whatever his name is, is naive to a suicidal degree. I believe the major difference between the two is that she believes the arabs when they say they want to destroy the Jews and he doesn't
I think the opposite: Baskin is talking about survival and Glick's views are dangerously naive.
It isn't news that the Right and Left see each other in these terms. But regardless of our views, we all benefit when the legitimate positions on both sides are well-represented and political discourse is raised to a higher level.
With her disrespect, whiny sarcasm, strawman arguments, etc., Glick does the Right no favors. Even as a Leftist, I want the Right to be better than that.
I disagree with the Right, but I'm disappointed that its positions were not better represented. Baskin argues convincingly while remaining composed and respectful; Glick looks unbalanced, over-emotional and childish. Between "Buchenwald" and "what a friend" and "tough love" and the incessant sarcasm and eye averting, she is the picture of an irrational fanatic. Someone like Yuval Steinitz could have done a better job of presenting the Rights deadend policies in the best possible light.
That fat woman (Caroline?) is full of hate.

Baskin probably thinks that Fatah just needs a big hug and they'll be nice!

Glick seems to having a very tough time shutting up and letting the other guy speak. She seems to be the one asking questions instead of the host.

baskin doesnt seem to realise that the arabs dont believe in a two state solution either as they are pledged to wipe out the jewish state.
