  • What appalling music! When you think The Dambusters theme was written 5 years before this is an absolute disgrace. It is totally unsuited to a film showing the deaths of 1000s of men. As the man said, the battle did not involve Americans so why the awful twang. Hard to match Coates I guess, but really .......

  • @Insperato62 the actual music in the film is worthy

  • @steeeeevve Johnny horton had a premonition he would die in a car crash he said if i see a car coming at me i will just pull off the road he was killed in a head on collision on a bridge

  • @spacepatrolman The music in the film is not by Mr Horton.

  • Great movie and used many of the same cast as A Night to Remember

  • Excellent cast! This is a moving story! From both sides! Rest in Peace All Sailors! From all nations!

  • The good ol`director Lewis Gilbert, that directed several 007-films..

  • ...is making such a fuss???

  • Oh, that's part of a line from Johnny Horton's song "Sink the Bismarck!"

    The full line is

"We'll find that German Battleship that's making such a fuss,

we gotta sink the Bismarck cause the World Depends on us"

  • I wonder why they are singing that little song with an American accent when the whole matter was between the British and the Germans:.
