A tornado hit this past May and we need to do some major repairing. The plants have not been pruned in about 5 years (we just bought the property last April) and they are probably 20+ years old Will it be okay if we if we prune them this fall instead of waiting till the end of winter? What damage would it possibly do to the vines?
Chuck sez-- probably not by resting on the frame. Rain may leach preservatives into the soil though. The new PT wood is supposed to be less toxic than the old stuff, so you're probably OK, if you can believe what they(megacorporations ) say, which I don't.
I built a frame for my grape vine out of pressure treated wood that i've bought from HomeDepot. I Supported my columns on cement away from the soil, my question is will my grape vine will get affected buy there poisonous chemicals just by resting at top of the pressur treated wood?

@jennifer3kidz You could get additional dieback during the winter.
