i am cleaning with coke but i don't clean like she is cleaning im just pour coke in the jar than i put atomizer into it closing jar and then shake for a bit and than im waiting those 22 hours but it isn't that isn't necessary im waiting about 12 or 6 hours and than i clean with water and using again that atomizer...and actually it works...
Wow, I'm going to try this, you always seem to know whats going on. One thing, I'm runing on my slow computer. Were you added the coke and blowing throught the large end or the atomizer end. Also I have gone throught three kits. What one do you recommend. I just bought a cheap one and am sending it back to try to fix. I really would appreciate letting me know what 801 you have and where you order it from. Thank you so much
@PBsummit Keep in mind the manufacturers do not recommend this procedure and at your own risk. This method was used on a DSE801, 901 and 510 atomizer. Also I only use on atomizers to extend their life if past the manufacturer warranty. Not sure what Blu's policy is or even if it is recommended to clean them in this way. Sorry it didn't work for you.
@jadabird77 rinse the atomizer in your sink with warm while for about 30-45 seconds, hold it at the bottom of your sink to flush it out better. use some white vinegar drop them in there, after rinsed well. pour some baking soda on top of them. let it sit for about 1hr - 1hr 30min. remove rinse with water in the sink for 20-30 seconds. dry with a hair drier after blowing out the atomizer till no water comes out. That's how I do it ;) give it a try let me know what you think.
@awefuckit I would assume so. I have used this method on 510's and 901's also. Keep in mind the manufacturers do not recommend this procedure and at your own risk. Thanks for commenting.
I'm kind of a hypochondric so I worry about putting germs in or on my atomizer that I could inhale when I touch it, and then worry about inhaling soap residue if I wash it with soap afterwards. Do you think any of this is necessarily worth while? lol. Even when I whipe it with a napkin I worry about inhaling left over napkin particles, etc. and it just goes on.
hi im 24 almost 25 on saterday. well iv been smoking marlboro reds for uhm 4 years? lately it has been 3 packs a day iv tried patches and everything else nothing seemed to work so my gf's dad early bday gift got me a BLU E-cig so far it has been gr8 but they say the little things cartridges = to one pack or so? i go thru 5 cartridges a day and i am using the strongest ones they have i think its 16mg? anyways i dont know if the atomizer thing is dirty all ready or? where i can get stronger ones?
@JettaJ1 Hello, You will not get a pack a day on a cartridge. I don't think that their cartridges go any higher on mg. strength, so you would have to refill your own in order to stay with that ecig. Check out refilling that particular brand and then you can purchase the higher nicotine strength eliquid. For a 3 pack a day smoker, the average vapor would use 24-36 mg. 18 is average for a pack a day smoker. There also may be videos on cleaning them. Hope this helps.
@o000oo0oo000o That sounds about right. Currently I use 16 ml bottles which will last a pack a day smoker about 1- 1 1/2 weeks. You will vape more than you ever smoked. That's normal.
how long should a bottle of 10 ml juice last a heavy smoker of 2-3 packs day lol im going thru a hell of alot im only getting a little over a week on 3 bottles BUT HAVENT HAD A REAL CIG
what damages these i got my starter kit may 17 & both my attys are not running as good as they were i wish i could better understand how they hould be cared for i only puff for 5 seconds & i direct drip when there dry so not to add more wear on em
@o000oo0oo000o Some say the direct dripping can put more wear on the atomizers, however many do. Blowing out the atomizer once a week can help clear out the juice. The juice boils in the atomizer and can get thick in time and can cause less vapor. Keeping the atomizer wet will produce the best vapor for you. Be careful with the 801's not to overfill, 2-3 drops at a time when dripping.

@fuelban The atomizer is a stainless steel tube with a ceramic pot inside containing a heating coil for boiling electronic cigarette eliquid. It has an arched steel band on top that protects it. It also has high temp wicking material that connects the arched band to the coil. The steel cloth acts as a wick as well, ensuring that the coil and pot are always surrounded in fluid. When you take a draw, it activates the battery and heats the coil, thereby vaporizing the fluid.
Hello, I wouldn't make fun of you. :) That might be part of the coil in the atomizer. Looks like it would need to be replaced. These things happen. Thank you for commenting !
@tdclub Its probably a piece of the mesh surrounding the bridge. This vid helped me alot watch?v=Ap1c4EwKRAY and theres another one from the same guy about how to take out the bridge. Its helped me understand how they're made up inside.
I've been told that for each atomizer, you should only use 1 flavor of smoke juice, otherwise you end up mixing the flavors, producing an unexpected result. Once you clean the atomizer with your method, are you free to start using a different flavor of smoke juice with that atomizer? Thanks in advance for your help.
Yes, it would be free from the previous juice you used. However blowing out the atomizer a couple of times and putting in a new cart with the new flavor would not take long to get the new flavor going through the atomizer. It's a matter of preference for some if they want to deal with the flavor during change over. Personally I just switch flavors and use the same atty. I don't use this coke method as a way of clearing the previous flavor out, but it will do the trick, Thanks for commenting!
Thanks for replying. I think I may have killed mine. Did coke, then hot water & dried ( I thought) & used the next morning now getting hardly any hit or vapor & getting liquid in my mouth. I have really liked them but I guess I just don't know what I'm doing @ this point I guess. I'll learn. I have a back up in case I have to get the 1st 1 replaced.
Hello, Please note: Some manufacturers do not recommend water, so at risk of voiding your warranty, you might want to check with them, or have a spare on hand. I mainly use this when the atomizer is on its way out and general blowing it out doesn't seem to improve the vape. Most atomizers last from 1-3 months, this has just extended that time on mine for a few. Thanks for commenting.
get a 510 little to no cleaning needed just get manual batteries and activate the battery and blow in to the atty to cool it down once it starts glowing cherry red..i do that about once a week after an atty gets about 5 weeks old no cleaning before that at all.
Hi, I tried the peroxide, no fizzle :) Nope, never even thought of seltzer water. Maybe I will give it a try. Thank you for commenting and suggestion!
I don't think it would do much good as the steam would have to get directly into the atomizer and that process would not really do the trick. Thanks for commenting!
Not necessarily. Most manufacturers don't recommend this, however with me I have found it seems to help with them lasting longer. We are all looking for tips to get them to last longer and the fact is they do get a build up of boiled nic, so this just helps remove some of it. Some say steaming over a tea pot helps also. Just a thought, how do you think it would do in the dishwasher? Not through a cycle, but when you use the option of steam drying....and before it gets done?
Yes it does, however since the atomizer is a lot smaller, you won't have to blow through it as many times to clear out the water when done or put as many drops of eliquid to get it going. Thanks for commenting!
More of the procedure is in the more info section. Some manufacturers do not recommend using water, so it is up to your own discretion. Thank you for commenting!

Your right, 8 hours min. is the best. I will have to try the lemon juice, sounds good to me. I'm always looking for ways to maintain these attys. Just discovered the use of a old traveler steam hair setter I don't use anymore works great and faster. Not a common item for everyone though. Thanks for commenting!
Some atomizers have fiber strands inside that help draw liquid from the cart. From what I understand that is not to be removed. However mine does not have that fiber from what I can tell, only the cartridge itself. That is why I specify maintenance for the 801 as I know this procedure has not harmed my atomizers so far. Depending on what type of e-cig you have, maybe check on specific maintenance tips on your model first to make sure. Thank you for commenting! Hope this helps.
Hello just saw your video on the 801 and being a long time smoker(17 years) you have inspired me to buy one now so thank you for that now with this coke trick did it affect the taste or atty? Thanks Again
Your very welcome! The thought of just one person able to try and quit cigarettes, makes my day! No it hasn't affected the taste or atty. I do make sure I rinse well. I also have used Pepsi when out of coke. Good luck to you!

Vinegar would make more sense to me. You wont have to deal with the sugar. It's the acid in the coke that is doing the work.
