The thing is though, while I understand the misconception, net neutrality's name is misleading, it is a plan to regulate the internet. Which basically means revoking internet liscences of parties with views opposing the Current administration (i.e. Fox News, The Drudge Report, ect)

Umm... Net neutrality is what we have and use today. Last time I checked, Fox and Drudge are up and runnig fine. The regulations prohibits the service providers to regulate content unless it violates the law. Meaning, if they change it, then you will indeed have providers who censors opposing political viewpoints, if they get paid. Quite the opposite to what you said.
