  • Which guitar is that?

  • @TheSppoke

Les paul from 70s or 80s, something like that.

  • Thanks for the great lessons!

  • Verry good sound and well played!! But which effects did you use and in which position did you have the toogle switch? I want to have the same sound like you but I don't know how to get it :-( Please help me

  • This guys good , he does not have to endorse or advertise products for the mass market , What you see and hear is talent , Pure Talent.

  • tabs at 54 sec please i am going to puntch a baby

  • @ormini24 2 on the b and g strings, open on d

  • The best Black Dog lesson on youtube yet, you have nailed it exactly. Most I have seen use finger tremolo on notes and Page doesn't.

  • wheres the lesson?

  • oh my god I thought I would never be able to play this. Best type of lesson video, no shitty talking needed just straight to what I'm after. Thank you

  • eh this vid really helped out. awesome song btw i wanted to show this song to my dad he really likes it thanks for the awesome lesson man helped ALOT!

  • Hey, hey, mama, said the way you move Gonna make you sweat, gonna make you groove

  • is it possible for people to comment without cussing? Read a book or something,

anyway , thanks for the teaching service , its great!

  • Thanks for the lesson! You rock

  • Thanks for the lesson. I really like the way you demonstrate the piece as it perfectly suits the way that I learn. Good job.

  • Are you picking with only (mainly) with downstrokes only? Everything you read says to pick with alternate strokes; but I think I can hear that this is downstrokes. Thanks.

  • Jimmy Page is a gifted guitarist. Nice performance, my friend.

  • Thanks!

  • Dude thank you so much you are very talented. Keep the vids coming!

  • what amp are you using?

  • Thanks man this is the best video I've seen so far. Cant wait to watch more, after i nail this one.

Are there any specific exercises you do to help speed up your fingers, or do you just practice a lot.

  • T K U

  • I only have a present a $200.00 Fender , of decent quality but no mic. pickups are on it, neither do I have any amp.

can you suggest an inexpensive way I might be able to convert this or if I even can. For it does not have the looser strings of a regular electric guitar as you are using.

but would it be a start at least , thanks your video is awesome , great help

  • Ooh, thanks for this very helpful lesson. One of my favorite songs, keep rocking.

  • wow nice ....

but please can you tell me how to play the part between 1:33 and 1:36

  • great job, well played,im just starting to learn and this video is great to play along with..thanks

  • thank you so much man

  • gracias man me sirvio muxo

  • really good nice job

  • nice man, good tone by the way. I often see lots of people that over-saturate this song with distortion, and you aren't one of them. cool.

  • ddduuuuuuudddeeeee!!!!!!!!! jimmy pagedoesnt even play the chorus like u do!!!! great job!!!!

  • subliminal 0:33

  • i think im getting better m:D i couldnt learn songs like this before but i learned this one with ease :) i luv guitars :)

  • pull off parts so hard

and even harder when you have an acoustic

  • Jimmy Paige, you are one talented motherfucker!

    \m/

  • have a peavey rockmmster...sounds lipage himself playing though the hammeron-pulloff part is HARD

  • you play great but talk us through it lol as stupid as it may seems it does help =P

  • your a kick ass guitarest man

  • i dont get how to do the part at 0:20 =(

  • You slide your index finger to the 7th fret, and then you hit 7th fret than 9th fret on the 3rd string. hope that helps.

  • There are (3) ways to play that little diddy at :20...

    1) They way the OP (and Page) plays it

    2) Instead of sliding up and playing D/E with your 1st and 3rd finger, stretch your pinky to grab the E note on the 9th fret, 3rd string

    3) Play the E note on the 2nd string, 5th fret

I hate when people gripe about the "right" way. Certainly there is the way that the original artist plays the song, but there's often more than one way to skin a cat.

    Nice video...thanks for posting.

  • Man, awesome video!!

I wish I can soon have the skill to play that song =D

  • Thanks - and keep at it, you'll definitely get there...

  • i just relived i suck at guitar i'll give that one some time

  • crunch setting on a line 6 spider 3 is a great led zeppelin tone

  • yea i have noticed that on my line 6 spider III amp as well :D

  • thanks for the advice on the amp and tone. I use a Les Paul so it should work

  • nice custom! epiphone or gibson ?

  • probably gibson and he wont respond to you this is a company thing

  • Gibson Les Paul Custom - cheers!

  • I can't get that Led Zepplin sound out of my amp (Fender HR Deluxe) that you're getting. Could you please help me with the settings (pedal needed?) or am I screwed without better drive?

  • A Hot Rod Deluxe should definitely have enough drive, however Fender amps are very 'bright' so play with the tone to warm it up a bit. A higher output humbucker pickup (Like Les Paul) will likely give you better results, a single coil (like Strat) may need a boost/drive type pedal to push the amp a bit. Good luck...

  • Very nice, thanks!

  • hes definantly not a lefty you fuck. thank you

  • i just love black dog

thnx so much for showing me how to play it ;)

  • You're welcome...

  • i notice your a lefty

  • Err, no....

  • thanx dude

  • well, no, Led Zeppelin doesn't actually own the songs, it was the studio, and the studio sold all their songs except on the Mothership album to WMG, AKA Warner Brothers Music Group... Hope Led Zeppelin's studio doesn't sell Mothership... I guess not, because it's still being bought a lot today. It's a great collection! But still WMG, wants to make sure that the only spot that you can get Led Zeppelin songs is from buying from them... They can't do anything about Limewire though, LOL!Fuck WMG!!!

  • i also find it convenient instead of going to standard A, go to to a barred E at the fifth fret when i feel like it. thanks for posting

  • great god bless!!

  • maybee a new place to host videos

  • Very well put together.....

    Keep it up....

Check out my version of the solo to Black Dog...

  • Great job brother . Keep up the good work !

  • I posted my own stairway to heaven vid, and I'll fight every copyright threat against me! Because everyone should know this song... When they click on highest views every on all time they see Stairway to heaven in the top 10, but not anymore.

  • yeah they see the gay rappers like flo rida, and other shit like t somethin. i hate how they ruined music

  • most of them did ruin it, but still like one of the most rarest song of rap that I only like is Handlebars, it has a good meaning too, the song has a meaning, the video shows a story...

  • every vid of Led Zeppelin TSRTS from 1973 live in NY, has been removed because of copyright own... Including Stairway To Heaven (the one with 11 mil views, is now gone)... Also normal studio tracks like Stairway To Heaven with 23 mil views is now gone because of copyright own... Also Kashmir with 11 mil views is gone too... FUCK COPYRIGHTS!!!!!!!

  • Here's a solution for those video's you can't live without,or are afraid they will be removed because of copy rights: I downloaded realplayer for free, and a small download button appears above each video. Just download those video's you can't live without, and they're there forever in your folder. Save2pc is another free one I haven't used, but worth checking out. I downloaded this video because your the first person whose shown me the one one part I couldn't figure out for a long time-thanks

  • Thanks for all the support.

There is a copyright issue, but I have been very careful in all my vids to not use any original backing tracks and keep it short - that's why there's only riffs/solos, no whole songs. As such this should be allowed as far use.

This is a scared YouTube using a Sledgehammer approach to what should be allowed. Copyright wasn't meant for this!

  • youtube is getting really really sucky with their copyright stuff. i liked the old youtube better

  • since google bought youtube it has become more and more like a heartless corporation rather than a place where people can share and enjoy videos :(

  • we should do something >:0

  • They remove it because there afraid everyone will learn and be better than them. Thank you for your time and putting up these great videos you have helped me tremendously and I have been a fan ever since I subscribed. ROCK ON

  • I think it has something to do with copyrights or something...

  • Copyrights should only be enforced if you use the material to gain fortune. This guy is being nice enough to take his time and put up the music I want to learn and play that I would normally have to pay at least 19.99 or more at a music store. So the band profits more money as if they don't make enough. They are so freakin rich they buy 1000 dollar hair cuts and 2000 dollar jeans. This is in no way trying to be the artist or gain money from it. So copyright should not be enforced!!!

  • i am sure its a copyright thing but it is ridiculous.

  • ya those SOB s took off one of my videos also

EAT CAKE! is what i like to tell them

    or something else

    How about YOU?

  • A great riff from a good scale - thank you.

  • removed for Terms of Use violation? thats abit harsh? this rocks anyway! 5*

I learn't this from tab ages ago lol... this would of helped for left hand positions.

  • beautiful i can play that now thanks

    to u

  • awesome video and song man!
